can anyone give some insight on what the queations are like on automated interview??? Just got an email today asking me to call a number and answer some questions...any insight would be awesome

Thanks

There will then be 4 customer service questions ... What appeals to you about this position? ... Name a time when things did not go as planned ... Name a time when you went above and beyond a customer's expectations ... Name a time when you dealt with a difficult situation when a supervisor would usually be involved but you handled the situation yourself.

After the questions you will be given a scenario and asked to relate it back "as you understand it." The scenario was ... "You have a very upset passenger who has missed her connecting flight from ROC to FLL. She wants to know why her flight was late, where her luggage is, and when the next available flight is. She needs medication. Also, she is traveling with 4 others in her party and requests they are seated together. She needs to be at her niece's wedding today."

Thanks everyone!! I couldn't be more happy right now..I'm still taking it in. And they didn't tell me the date I will go for training. They said they will submit my fingerprints on 3/16 so I'm assuming I'll be in the April 15th class. They do the fingerprinting and drug testing on the same day of the interview, if you make it that far. I did my f2f in Orlando on 1/20/2009 and heard the yes on 2/23/2009...worth the wait. The training is 1 month in Orlando. Mona313 just read over the forum...and be yourself, relax, and have fun. Don't let nerves jeopardize your opportunity. = ) Good luck to everyone, you will all do great!!!

YRM in SJU, Puerto Rico said: What about the group interview? How was it?

For me it wasn't bad. I was relaxed. Just be yourself. They start with a big group and then split you into a smaller group. They want to get to know who you are and what you think about the company. I thought it was really easy actually. Don't let nerves get in your way. Answer every question they ask. Smile, relax, dress professional...you can't go wrong. Read over the forum for advice guys...it's what I did and it helps A LOT!! It's competitive and they cut people throughout the day. If you make it to the fingerprinting and drug testing part then Congrats!!! In my group we started with about 25 people by the end of the day there were only about 7 or 8. And even some people that made it through the whole day, got the NO email afterwards...it just depends. Be confident. Good luck. I'm not the Jetblue expert at all...but these are just MY observations.

It's very extensive. They ask for every single job that you have had plus education and if you weren't working they want to know why and proof of income for that time. Name, phone numbers, addresses...etc. I would ask Marlies once you actually got to that point. For now I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. = ) Best advice is to read thru the forum. Not from the very beginning but atleast the last 20 pages or so...Good Luck!

"The correct height you need to be able to reach is 6 ft 3 inches in bare feet". That means 75 inches to be exact. New York here I come!!! :-)

So... my biggest concern was the reach test but I measured a few times at home and was able to reach 6'3" on bare feet..
Well, last week was my f2f and got through everything (thank you for the tips pcotes and swanny!) -the presentation, group interview, and spanish part. When I got to the jump seat/reach test I was off by what seemed like an inch from their mark!! It was horrible to be eliminated based on this but I was.
I had to leave right after and when I got home I re-measured & there is no way that line they had was 6'3" high. I would have been able to reach it! I made sure to email and get confirmation of the height before flying to NY.
I am still upset over this and emailed Marlies & Wendy last week about it. Of course I have not received a response.
It is all over now but it has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth :-(
I never really had a chance!

I want to suggest that anyone between 5' and 5'1" beware in wasting their time and money.

Congratulations to all of you who are attending training!! Best of luck :-)

I received an email from Wendy confirming it was 6'3" before I went to the interview. I was off by what seemed like an inch- it wasn't much.
In my email to Marlies and Wendy I didn't ask for another chance because at this point I am not even sure I want it- I said I was emailing them so that they could re-measure and give people in my situation a fair chance. That was my point for even bothering to email them.

I really don't think an inch will make a difference. I mean she was barefoot with shoes she would have reached it. It suxz that people spend all this money and then have to be sent home 8( I'm so sorry they happened to u. Maybe its more of a safety issue

Mona, don't worry about that. I was hired by jetBlue last year and I had the exact same work history as you - working for a temp agency on and off for years. It was not a problem at all. I just put my start date as the date I registered with the temp agency and the end date as the last day of my last assignment with the temp agency. The USIS background checkers have dealt with situations like yours and mine before. You will be fine!!!!
