DLP, you are so funny...BI is b i t ch . They could have complied in discovery with those numbers marked off (which they did later).

They reversed the paycheck? Usually they don't do that without a valid reason, any company for that matter. And remember, when you sign up for direct deposit you did give them the authorization to take money back. Check the ADP pay stubs and see whats up. |

Well there you go, I guess it was the order of my three words!!! LOL I was rather confused as to why I couldn't use them they are all in my Holy Bible! And today just one at a time they all except the ck in my third word passed. Not to mention that they allowed some moron to call DLP a di--head the other day, go figure!!! |

Lauren, I was trying to make a comment yesterday that "Messa" (DLP) was nothing but a bunch of d (word from above) s (from above) maggots! I don't know if you'll be able to put it together or not. Have a great rest of the long weekend!!! |

i did. but they had it de actavted and to rest the password or anything along those lines you have to have an email sent to you and it has to be to a mesa email. they are totally trying to screw me.
yeah i can really enjoy a weekend with this hanging over my head..

The ADP thing can't be reset by mesa, and i can't be screwed with by them. I still have access and i quit in Feb. ipay.adp.com/iPay/index.jsf is the site you need to go to. Have you ever signed up for the ipay? if not then you DO need mesa to get into it. |

Yep...I flew for 17 years and now am confined to bed at least half of the month...my hands, hips, every joint in my body hurts...no, KILLS. I was getting through the workday on meds...ended up reliant on meds...now have to take methadone, cymbalta, and xanex thanks to the stress of 9=11...and I am not the only one.

thank you Kiwi for helping to get the word out. you are so right! and you are Not the only one as i also sacrificed my health, my life and sometimes i think my very being for the 'joy' of flying. i got LTD but after 12 months they force you to apply for ssi which is only about $650/mo and i don't know anybody that can live on that amount. my med bills were close to $400,000 and even with insurance it will take years to pay off my share. i'm working again with limitations but life will never be what it once was. thank you for sharing. i have posted many times about the health risks of flying. i too thought i would never know what it was like to be out of bed but my goal was to get my life back and even though it's really tough, day by day i can achieve a little more. my best wishes for your recovery *hugs* |

But it's really just a notch- just ONE NOTCH better than Mesa. |

After reading all these comments I am now depressed by all the negativity. I nonestly love my job. I am currently a flight attendant for mesa located in Chicago and I leave for Charlotte next week... the pay is not the best but the benefits of traveling are wonderful. I'm able to go home every week to Atl, GA... also, we are seriously, not over worked. The key to his job is just to be flexible and keep positive. |

I was not LITERALLY "depressed" about the situation. second... many mesa flight attendants may have been over worked, however that is probably the reason they are hiring? hmmm. yah. and another thing about those poor taken advantage of FAs... well, all I have to say is know your contract, know your contract, know your freakin' contract. AND yet, again, I like mesa, I love my job. :)Good day. |

Ahhheeemmm, let me explain missy, first of all they are hiring constantly cuz they can not keep good help!!! I started with 26 in class, 16 passed and like 3 were flying three months later and none by the end of 1 year!!!! Hmmmmmm yah and another thing, when did you ask the union to represent you?? They hung my a** out to dry when I asked them to follow the contract and if you think they will back you....think again!!! They are all in the back pockets of the supervisors and that is their interest....not what that paper they give you called a contract, it isn't worth the paper it is written on!!!! Put that in your juice box and su ck it my friend!!! |

Not-taken-advantage-of, thank you for your post. I am scheduled to attend Mesa training starting on the 11th. I admit, I didn't read all 2000 plus of posts on this subject, but it's safe to say that the majority of people really don't like Mesa. However I have no experience, and Mesa is taking a chance on hiring me. And believe me, I applied at dozens and dozens of airlines, and most didn't respond. I'm looking forward to this opportunity. I'm going into it knowing that it's not going to make me rich, and that I won't be skipping through the tulips and tootin' a happy song the whole time. It's a job... it's supposed to stink sometimes. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks and I'm glad someone had something positive to say. It eases the anxiety a bit. Hopefully I will be one of the people like you who really likes my job with Mesa. It's at least worth a shot since none of the other airlines seem interested. |

to Brooks, having no experience is a Plus when hiring fa's. most airlines prefer to train you 'their' way. i don't know when you sent applications out but keep in mind that some employers take up to 3 months to reply. most require that you be at least 21 years old. in this forum i don't believe it's a matter of liking or not liking Mesa... it's a matter of caring for a fellow human being that might be considering working for a company without knowing all the facts first. i have never worked for Mesa so i'm not a disgruntled employee blowing off steam - i am familiar with them however and can't see working for a company that doesn't support their employees and pays poverty wages. please take the time to read the various posts on this forum and those for other airlines before making the leap. we now live in age of unlimited information at our fingertips... so take advantage of that instead of wasting time choosing the wrong job. |

LOL I get emails to my iPhone to inform me of new indeed post about Mesa and when I read through them I'm so shocked to read about ppl who are still wanting to join Mesa it's amazing. Anywho congrats and yes I believe that there hiring for July 2nd class. If your hired they give you the study info. They asked use to get to training ourselfs, due to people being stuck at airports and arriving late or days late for class from them booking. Now they just ask use to take Amtrack train or buy a ticket. Which only cost me 65dollars. Where is your interview at? I am sure alot of people will be there, I had alot show up at my group session. Anywho goodluck. Ooo I gave some tips and what to expect during the session a page before or maybe the same page you found that post. Again goodluck |

FAIT in Indiana 48 months ago |
Sorry I just read your reply. I am interviewing in Chicago. I turned down a May interview because I thought I was going to training for the other carrier. I sure do hope I get th job and get into the July class. I received an email this morning from Eileen Plante stating she is looking forward to meeting me. She remembered me from the May session. I was also hired with United and they too cancelled classes. I am anxious to get started and I don't want to wait any longer for training. Do you think if I do start training in the July class, I will have time to study the packet. The other carrier gave us about 4 weeks because we have an announcement test scheduled the first day and city codes was test 2 the next day. I did all that studying for absolute nothing and let's not forget about the money I spent making sure I had everythng they requested for training. All information is greatly appreciated. Thanks A Million! |

The annoucement test isn't the first day for us, only city codes/states an city name. You have to know how to spell the city and state correctly as well as know the 3letter code. Fairly easy and you have to know the 2 letter code for the airlines, all of them and that's it for the first day test. So yea you'll have time I learned it all in three days its only 107 cities/codes then make sure you can spell the city right and you know the state and how to spell that right as well.

Thanks for all the responses. I hope I don't ever sound like I'm trying to disrespect your opinions. I guess i should have clarified... I didn't read all 2000 posts, but I did read hundreds of them. I read several pages and I do get the warnings, but I kinda skipped over some of the chatty ones that weren't about Mesa, and some of the bozo posts that made little to no sense. To answer your questions, I don't know why other airlines haven't responded. It hasn't been 3 months, I know that. i figured it was because I was in marketing for the last 8 years and don't have a lot of customer service experience. I know nothing is wrong with my resume because when i was applying for another marketing job I got dozens and dozens of responses. And most of the airline jobs I applied for I had to fill out an online application (loooooong applications) instead of sending a resume. I'm 29, so I'm not too young. In all honesty, the reason I "chose" Mesa was because it was the only airline doing an open house in the Dallas area. I figure with the airlines making cut backs left and right, it's kinda hard to get your foot in the door. I'm hoping Mesa will be a good starting point and learning experience for a long career in flight attending. If I enjoy working with Mesa, then cool. I'll stick around. If it's as horrible as you guys say, then when I quit, at least I'll have some experience and maybe that will help me get hired on elsewhere. I know how bad this might sound, but I'm really desperate to be a flight attendant. I've wanted to for years and years, but never had the freedom in my life that the job requires. Now that I'm here, I'd work for Satan Airlines if they'd just let me fly. I'm grateful for any oppurtunity to work with any airline, just so I can finaly do what I've always wanted. |

Is GoJet Airlines hiring for the balance of the year 2008? How do you apply?
Is it my responsability to provide transportation to the interview? Do they hire on-the-spot?
Do they provide lodging in training? Soon to be a Flight Attendant (I hope)! |

If you've never worked for an airline and during the interview you are asked a situational question concerning a pax, how do you answer that properly? At one interview I was asked how I would treat a pax that was disrespectful to me and I replied, with respect. I have an interview coming up in a week or so and really want to nail this. KenFA with GoJet, I really would like your input on this one. Thanks. |
|
KenD FA in Training for GoJet Airlines in Chicago, Illinois 48 months ago |
Hmmmm with a question like that just wanting know how the pax will affect your day and how well you can handle stress. Now for the Gojet interview there were about 60 to 70 people. They only need 6/8 of you guys some times more must of the time less. They will ask you to standup in front of the class and the recruiters ( note there were five at mine ). And they want you to answer why them? Why do you wanna be a flight attendant? And a little about yourself. Easy right? Not really they know why your there and that your serious, there really looking for how relaxed you are, how you present yourself, how well you speak if its clear, loud etc..., how you look meaning do you look the part do you fit the profile they want, and did u say or do somthing that they remember to write down your name? Because again there our alot of people there, then finally comes how well you answered the questions in front of everyone. Hope this helps |
|
Brenda in Hazel Crest, Illinois 48 months ago |
I guess I'm just worrying over the actual situational questions involving airline policies, afterall, having never worked for an airline, I wouldn't know what the correct response would be. I can look the part, public speaking is not a problem and I'm pretty personable. If a passenger is unruly, isn't there a policy in place that you learn in training? If so, then wouldn't a proper response be that you would do exactly as you were told to do under the circumstances, following FAA guidelines for passenger safety, while maintaining proper decorum for an FA in a customer service industry? |
|
Brenda in Hazel Crest, Illinois 48 months ago |
One more... When asked, "why this airline"... How about if I say, "you're interviewing, you have a base where I want to be and I just want to work as a FA".... just kidding. That's just one of the questions I'm working on prior to my interview and it's taxing my brain. |
|
KenD FA in Training for GoJet Airlines in Chicago, Illinois 48 months ago |
LOL Brenda if you answered a question like that, the one with the FAA guild lines, I would think your great with the google. Honestly I answered like you said at 1st with respect an I explained why rudeness has no effect on me or my day. Now I'm sure they hear the FAA answer all day, be different you wanna standout not blend. Now about the why gojet question that's easy, here I said I love the routes, and I love the fact that there's two flight attendants to the plane unlike others, I said ive flown with them an there flight attendants were great!, I said ive only heard good things about the company and that rep. To me says alot, I finished this question with saying I love the fact that the company is fairly new and with my past Exp. I could only help them grow as well as continue the great rep/customer service that they have at gojet. I said that all for just that one question. |
|
Brenda in Hazel Crest, Illinois 48 months ago |
Good answer to why GoJet. Mind if I borrow parts of it? The FAA answer to the pax question was just something I'd want to say. Can you imagine these questions and answers....
Think I'd get hired? Have a great day. |
|
KenD FA in Training for GoJet Airlines in Chicago, Illinois 48 months ago |
thats what were here for to help each other out u can have the answer if you like Hmmmm Brenda i love your style it reminds me of me, thats the way i wanted to answer the question but well you know why i couldn't..

Brenda in Hazel Crest, Illinois 48 months ago |
You and I should fly together. We'd get along so well.....our passengers would be scared to death to "rock the boat". They'd know to just sit there, shut up and wait until we land.... Have a wonderful day. I'm going to go search for interview help ideas...GoJet really is where I want to work so I plan on working hard before this interview. |
