The interview is very easy. They like to hear about how you love to work in customer sevice, How your a dedicated employee and a team player. You must be willing to relocate to there assigned base, with a smile, if you know what I mean. LOL.
I told them I've wanted to be a Flight Attendant since I am 5 years old and this is not a job its my dream. So something like that line is real good. Good luck and let us know how you did.

Packed and ready to go. It's alittle emotional around here right now. I cried for the first time yesterday.....Had a girls night out, going to miss these chicks alot. Oh, emotional is definitely the word! Today was my last day at work, and it's funny how I didn't realize how much we had all bonded...we have a girl's night planned for this weekend, and we're already teary-eyed everytime we talk....it's all for the greater good though, and I have a lot of people rooting for me, so I'm good to go!

Yeah, I pulled it up too....definitely looks liveable...the site did say that the pool was under renovations for the next 2 weeks, but I wonder how recent that was...

Ok, going thru things to bring...my suitcase is 25" tall 16" wide and 8" deep. Is that too big?

Also, ladies...where were you able to find your blouses? I am having one heck of a time finding them without darts.

Suitcase should be Maximum 20" (18"-19" perfect) no more than 8" deep. I think yours is too big at 25"

I found my shirts in fashion bug. Do you have one of those? If not try Sears or Jcpenneys.

For all you folks at the Days Inn, I just got an email saying that "Plan on staying at the Days Inn until a room opens at the Del Rio." and if one does not open, we stay at the Days for remainder of training. I just measured my suitcase................20"X 8" (PERFECT) However it is wider than 8" at this time. hahahha. I am checking everything, and traveling light. Big going away party tonight. I am so emotional today. but can't wait to meet all my future Brothers and Sisters. 3 days and a wake up! :)

OUR PER DIEM IS $1.26/HOUR. I KNOW YOU START OFF AT HOT RESERVE DOING 12 HOUR SHIFTS AT THE AIRPORT. MOST BASES ARE JUNIOR THE MOST BEING DULLES AND SECOND MOST BEING O'HARE. I USUALLY BRING HOME $1200-$1300 A MONTH AFTER MY PER DIEM. THEY TAKE $15 A MONTH OUT FOR UNIFORMS. MY FRIEND WHO HAS BEEN WITH MESA 1 YEAR MAKES $1700-$1800/MONTH BUT HE ALWAYS BIDS TO DO OVERNIGHT TRIPS TO GET MORE PER DIEM.

Ok, in response to Displaced, They do Junior assign sometimes, you get double time if you do that, or TDY, or work on your day off. As for the union, if you decide to join, which most people do since they take the money anyway, you get 60 dollars taken out totally, so 10 a month, 5 a paycheck, then you pay the union dues of 39 a month i belive it is. Weather you join the union or not. The contract itself is available online currently at www.mesaafa.com i think the site is. There anyone can view the contract, weather they are a flight attendant or not :). And yes, our pay starting out is low. $15.59 in the first six months, goes up to $16.71 in the second six months, on your one year, you get $18.40. The per diem is the same pretty much everywhere you go if i understand correctly.

And to the Mesa Flight attendant, did you HONESTLY take a job as a flight attendant for the money? Please. NO flight attendant starts out making money, unless you work everything. You work hard and do alot of overnights. You can make money, remember your per diem is not taxed unless you are on READY RESERVE..not HOT reserve..and its 10 HOURS at the airport, NOT 12. As for 'not quiting because i need the money' There are PLENTY of jobs out there. I do hope I don't work with you while you are still here. I don't want someone who's miserable to ruin my time. Also, stop typing in all caps if you could :)

And Displaced, i do thank you for the point of view you give, and am glad there is another view on there who's at least logical about it.

I leave In the morning for PHX. My class date is Oct 31. I am so excited and can't wait to get there. I will try to pass info on to help you out, and let you know about the city of MESA. I am staying at the Days Inn, 2 miles from the Del Rio, Mesa's hotel. Anyway I can tell you with the help of some FREINDLY folks on here, (TIMOTHY) know your packet, study it and know your announcements. I will comment in a day or so. Thank you Tamika I have already started to study my packet I DL it last night and am going to do the whole flash card thing plus as an added benifit I have a study buddy here at home that happens to travel for work and already knows the announcements and codes just from his travels. I would love it if I could be based in Orlando ((MCO) it's only 40 mins from my house) but I know the chance of that starting out are not in my favor but it will be my goal/hope for me to get.

Thank you Future I would love any information that you will be able to pass my way trust me it will be put to good use.
