Are you going to check out the job fair for pinnacle airlines? It's nov.4. I haven't found out where other than it's in memphis. I'm sure it's on their website. I went to their job fair on aug 1st but was 2 minutes late & I couldn't get in - that won't happen again! Anyway, they gave me a card with the date for the next one. If you go -you have to have a valid passport with you or you can't get in either. I'm definately going - I really want to be a FA.

At the open house yesterday, I was told they would call me to set up an interview today... I haven't heard form them yet, do you think theres still hope? How long did you have to wait to hear back after the open house to set up a 2 on 1?

Yeah I stayed after. She called us back into the room, and explained that she only had a few spots available for this week, but she just started in the first row and got those ppl scheduled, and said she promised she would be getting back to the rest of us once she knew when she would have more interview spots open for next week. I'm just worried because she told us she would try and get back to us by the next day... and now its friday and still no phone call yet...ugh

I was just wondering how the whole open house process is like from start to finish. Going to an open house on Saturday and I'm ready but nervous. Is there an actual test or something that we have to take? How many people are usually there and how are they dressed? I know that you have to wear business attire but I was just wondering how many people showed up dressed the wrong way...

Oh really? Well how about if either of us gets a call we'll get her name/contact number so we can call her... So I'll let you know if I hear anything! Hopefully we will today! They're probably just really busy... Ugh!!! :)

Hey Molly. The open house is a piece of cake. To start off, they go over the airlines history, and then explain the pay, hours, benefits.. etc. They make you take a 12 minute IQ type test...it really isn't that bad and they don't tell you what score you have to get. It's pretty much common sense, with a little thinking involved. The after that, they make you get up in front of everyone (everyone has to do this.. it took our session 2 hours and 15 minutes to go through everyone) and they make you read a short script.. its the introduction script you hear over the announcements when everyone is seated on the plane "ladies and gentleman, welcome onboard northwest airlink flight 4745"..etc. I think they do this just so they can make sure you can read and speak clearly. Then they make you tell a stressful situation you once had, and it must be related to work or education. Then after everyones done with that, its over and hopefully you get a call to come back in for another interview. For dressing..Everyone was dressed nice.. some people had dress pants and nice button down blouses, or pant suits on. Just look professional!

I was at the 9/9 meeting in Detroit...I have an interview set up....Has anyone interviewed and been hired yet? How was the interview process? What type of questions were asked?

I am interested too however I think it may be out of the question for me as for religious reasons I do not work Fri-Saturday evening, this would make me ineligible, correct? Thanks.

I started memorizing them, but I'm not sure when we'll be tested on them!

You probably will be tested at the end of the first week, but it won't be on the city codes. The codes test is some time during the second week.

Just to add to what I posted above about the codes...

I want to specify that the test fell during the second week of "my" class. It might be different for other classes.

I will also be in the class on Sept 29th in MSP. Hope to see you all there as well.

I have memomorized all the codes but about 10 of them. I learned most of them in just two days. It wasnt hard for me. Since I knew most of the locations. It was just putting the locations with the 3 letters. If you need help in learning them and getting ready for training I'm sure a classmate will help you. The problem is learning all the small towns,ugh,lol.

I'm planning on going to an interview with Mesaba on October 14 in Detroit. However, I will be driving in from Missouri. I've worked for an airline previously. Does anyone know if they do interviews that same day as open house? I would hope maybe they take into consideration people who travel for the open house. Anyways, hope all goes well. Maybe see you in a class. Thanks.

They do not do interviews the same day as the open house. They will call you back for an interview if they are interested in you. I traveled 6 hours to go to an open house and traveled back for the interview as well. It was worth it though, because I got a training date =)

They called me for an interview the following week after the open house. I don't remember all the questions. They are just your normal airline interview questions. Good luck to you!

Does anyone know what the trip lengths are? Are they mostly 3 & 4 day trips? How many months is reserve? How any days a week is reserve?

How many interviews did you go through before you were given a training date?

I went to the open house on a Monday. Two days later Human Resources contacted me to schedule an interview. I interviewed the following Monday and they offered me the position at the end of my interview, contingent upon passing a drug test and fingerprinting background check.

Well it seems like they do things different in every city. I went to the Detroit open house on the 14th, got an interview the next day. They interviewed me, told me to step outside for a minute, then she came out and asked me to verify my address and phone number. She then said that they will call me in a week b/c that's how long it takes. What does this all mean??
