So i have two empty rooms in my house, and I am thinking about setting them up as crash pads. Does anyone have any experience, or advice. Do people care if they have to share the room? Is there even a need for crash pads in memphis? Congrats to those that graduated! |

Currently, Mesaba only hires at-base...which is DTW, MEM and MSP. Additionally, they are not actively hiring at this time...as they already have a sizable pool of candidates awaiting training and no training classes scheduled to put them into. |

Hi everyone! I'm new at this forum but it feels like I already know some of you =) hope everyone is having a great summer. I was hoping that someone would help me answer a couple of questions. Does anyone know when mesaba will be hiring again? where's their domiciles? and to all of you that are working for mesaba, do you like the company you work for? thank you so much in advance! |

If you read some of the older post it will answer a lot of your questions, I am in a pool in Detroit to go to a class when and if they have them again, I was actually hired on March 20th, all classes have been cancelled, on here it was said the next class will be in December. Like I said read the posts on this forum will tell u eveything u need to know. there hubs are in Detroit, MI Minneapolis Minnesota, Memphis TN. Good Luck to you. |

According to the Federal Transportation Authority they really screwed up. Maybe not a good company to work for if no more smarts than to leave passengers on a plane for 24 hrs. DUH!!!!!!!!!! |

Well for those of you waiting for a training date with mesaba do not expect one anytime in 2010 because we are loosing 13 more of our saabs on top of the 10 and there might be flight attendant furloughs so its best you guys look for another airline good luck. |

OMG that is not what I wanted to hear, I read in the Free Press that the whole changeover from Northwest to Delta, including all licenses and everything else will be final in December and things may pick back up, I was hoping classes would resume soon after. Oh well I have a good job so I can wait, I want to be based here in Detroit. Will Keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for the update. |

Yea dont expect to hear anything from mesaba till maybe late nxt year if that cause if we dont get anymore planes to replace saabs then Im going to get furloughed also |

We've been hearing that a class should be coming up in the next couple of months. We're fairly short on FAs in all bases right now. |

Ha! Getting these past few emails has been kind of exciting. I had stopped thinking about everything but hopefully there is still hope! I was scheduled for training 2x, in May and in June, when the classes were cancelled. I hope I'm still on the top of the list! It will be a year tomorrow that I attended the OH, however, waiting seems to be key. Let's home for some good news soon! |

I went to an open house and was hired last March I too hope I am still on the list the last letter I got was in June telling me that I was still on the list. This is awesome new, I hope. |

no class date yet. She said she would contact me by mid feb and give me a class date. I was scheduled for the june class till it was canceled. I'm just glad that there is a posibility of another class. Good luck to everyone! |

Well im happy there will be another class soon also so I can transfer bases to Minneapolis where I live in stead of being stuck in memphis. Keep us updated when u get a class date. |

I received the call also! They didnt have specific details - and stated that they are proposing a spring class, and will know more by the end of February, and will contact me then. I had done the fingerprinting, drug testing and even had my flight and hotel info for last May's and June's class. Let's hope this one sticks!!! |

Do any of u who have gotten calls from Mesaba heard if they r still just pulling people from a pool or if they are actually going to begin actively recruiting & hiring again? Are they getting more routes? I remember reading awhile back that they were getting rid of some SAABS & that they either furloughed some FA's or asked them to take a leave of absence. So just wondering what's happening now. Thanks! |

Mesaba is only pulling people from a pool that have been hired there will be no active hiring until we get more planes. This coming up class is probably the only one of the year for attrition. |
