I talked with a girl who was in the Nov. class and she said it was one of those extended stay hotels where you have your own bedroom (and bath I assume) but you share a common living room/kitchen with another person. I believe she said there is a Chilis and a grocery store within walking distance.She also suggested that we bring snacks for the first day, since you won't have any time to get anything and the hotel's snacks are expensive, like all hotels. ??me?? in Adamsville, Tennessee 42 months ago	The hotel is very nice. I trained and stayed in the hotel last winter with another airlines. It is of course a non smoking hotel. Very nice, Own bedroom share a bathroom. Kitchen and living room. Hotel snacks are expensive. Walmart and grocery store within walking distance as long as it is not to cold (try -20 last year) LOL... Hotel shuttle will take you to the Mall of America on certain days. If the shuttle driver is going a certain way, he will take you if you ask him to drop you off at the store. At least they did for me, however a $5.00 tip was in it for them each trip. Tip the drivers well and they will do right by you. Good luck everyone !! - Was this comment helpful? flynmemphis in Cordova, Tennessee 42 months ago	I received a ticket for no seatbelt and expired brake tag which was dismissed.Do I have to include this on the application( which I did)? Does this disqualify you from getting a position? The interviewer also posted the numbers on the door of who needed to stay for an interview and she told everyone they will receive a phone call in about 1-2 weeks. Is it possible that she will call some people? Unfortunately she was the only interviewer who could attend. Or will we receive a rejection letter? - Was this comment helpful? I will probably get a crash pad until I get the feel for the whole thing w/reserve all. Anyone have any suggestions on commuting vs crash pads in MEM? We may end up moving to MEM...who knows for now. I went to an OH in MEM the 1st week of Dec and interviewed the following week where I received an offer to attend training 29/Dec. Chews, are you planning on attending an OH? I found them very informative (I've never been a FA before) and the staff really nice and more than willing to answer any q's. I hope teaching is a great asset. I feel like it has taught me a lot. I have enjoyed it as well. Do you have a family (kids)? You mentioned you may move? As far as an Open House goes. I would love to go to one. After the New Year I will look at the dates and fly out to one somewhere. I think that would give me the most information in a one time setting. I have read a ton and feel knowledgable as far as being a FA goes but as far as the companies I need to study up on them. Myra in Fayetteville, Georgia 42 months ago	To everyone attending training for 12/29 I was able to find out a little more info regarding the hotel that we are staying at for training. We will all have at this time our on studio suite(again this could be subject to change) but doubtful.Also there is about 33 in our class and the rooms have irons,blow dryers,etc.thought this might help for packing purposes. I talked to Kristin about what we need to wear for the flight out and she said business casual was fine. The handbook says business, like a suit, but I guess that is not necessary. Also, for anyone with a college age child, they will either need to fax proof (to Mesaba pass bureau or something) that they are in full time school or you can bring it with you. Their class schedule will work. She also told me we now have 51 in our class-25 from Mem. She thinks we will be on 2 separate flights. They just ask questions about your past jobs and how you handled things...they ask why brought you to Mesaba....about the stress on your job...questions like that....They offered me the job right then and there so you should know right away! It was a hoot! on top of things this girl in front of me kept losing her pants which would moon everyone behind her!!!! it totally grossed me out...then another girl asked a question during pay information about if they had plane crashes, then the same girl would turn around and ask people behind her if someone got into a plane crash would they survive!! yeah a way to make someone feel a lil bit uncomfortable!!
