@ miamif/a in North Miami Beach - First your spelling is atrocious and second I looked on the "afa weebsite" and there is NOTHING posted in regard to your claims. SO if you have REAL information regarding these claims please post it or a link. Even if what you were saying is true they still need flight attendants to keep their planes flying. |

@ in Miami Beach - The only thing listed under the site you posted, which is the same site I had already gone to, is a contract dispute back in 6/15/2007 and the AFA Facebook one was on 6/17/2004. IF you have any realtime info on this once again I ask you to post. |

We were told about this at our interview so don't see your reason for these old posting's. Have seen no mention of Miami Air changing the name of the company. Scare tactics to keep new potential flight attendants from coming to training? I will not continue to question your posts as I don't wish to play the game. Hope all new trainees aren't turned off by "in Miami Beach" posts. |

I for one am a little over the rhetoric being posted by some individuals that probably should have had their wings clippped years ago. |

To everyone that is excited and ready to start class do not let some bitter employees change that. I had stopped coming to the site just for that reason but decided to check in today. I agree with Miami Air Rocks, for those of you so unhappy and posting false information quit, walk away, go find something that makes you happy. Let those of us that want to work do so. As for In Miami Beach and miamif/a get over it, your reposting of old posts and your false posts aren't doing a thing except of course showing your bitterness and your need to move along. |

Relax i did not post anything wrong. People wanted to see if there was a strike or a strike in action and i only posted what i found online. YES MIAMI AIR IS A GREAT COMPANY. No where did i state to not work for them. Attacking the company is wrong. Attacking me for posting what was found online to clarify alittle about the strike that is being asked is not wrong. For you all entering enjoy and lose the attitude to the ones trying to help in a positive way. As for the ones bashing...im not with that. THE END. |

YES MIAMI AIR IS A GREAT COMPANY. Have a question, if you do not work for them how do you know what they are paid in order to state "The flight attendant just deserve better pay"? Plenty of people have posted that this company has been pretty open about the flight attendant union. As for attacking I didn't i was just repeating what others have said in my own way. If you are referring to what I said about quit, walk away etc, just thought it was appropriate. Sometimes it takes an outside perspective for one to see that no matter what they will not be happy and it's time to hang it up. My apologies if you took it any other way. |

YES MIAMI AIR IS A GREAT COMPANY. If you don't work for them how could you know what kind of company they are or that the flight attendants are underpaid? Just curious. As for what i said regarding walking away or quitting. I was not attacking anyone, sometimes it takes an outside perspective to show someone that no matter a person receives they will never be happy in their current situation. I only posted that because of some of the comments made. Good Luck to all no matter what you decide. |

SJDGringa in Portland, Oregon said: Raul, you should apply at Delta. You would be in very high demand there and sound as if you have the Delta spirit. It is a very easy commute from Florida. Hey Raul, you should say you do have Flight Attendant experience although you never worked as a FA, why, because one way or another you have customer relation exp., everyone deals with other people in many roles in life and work. You can certainly serve drinks, I'm sure you can be assertive in giving people commands and direction. So on and so forth. you have to sell yourself, let them think they need you as well as you need them, their job security is predicated on the sucsesful selection of new hires, if someone hires a bunch of flakes, that HR rep wont be working much longer, let them know you will do great and make them shine too. I was a Flight attendant for two years many years ago and now I have been a Pilot for the past 25 yrs. So I know the industry and what I;m talking about. Good luck to everyone looking for a FA job, if you have any questions feel free to ask me michael@calvitto.com |

EagertoFly in North Miami Beach, Florida said: Does anyone know if having a DUI within the last year would disqualify you as a candidate for Miami Air? I know some airlines that don't fly into Canada are fine if you are honest and upfront about it on your application, but I'm not sure about Miami Air? It's always important to be honest and upfront, if there is something wrong that they can find out about on their own explain it to them and MOST IMPORTANT let them know it was a mistake and you learned a good lesson from it and will never make it again. |

All of you should be looking for airline employment with a scheduled airline. Charter airlines are not the way to go, if you are serious about becoming a Flight Attendant. Charter airlines come and go. You all should consider: Alaska Airlines
Nothing more, nothing less. Good luck to all of you! |
