Hi Rebecca, pardon my confusion. There is an online questionnaire that pops up after you submit basic information and upload your resume. For me, at least, I could not fill out an online app until after I had been asked to do so by PeopleScout. They then enabled a function the next time that I logged in so that I could fill it out and submit it then. Again, that is only after I had passed the initial questionnaire online, the phone interviews and was then scheduled for a F2F. What was the message that you received? Did it tell you that someone would get back to you, or did it give you a number to call w/in a specific amount of time? And it was specifically for a F/A position when it was open, correct? I DO KNOW that you can visit your profile online with Delta. You can update your information, etc. You just need your password, etc. I think that if 6 months does pass without any contact for that position, that your information may just be deleted. Just a guess, but a logical one. Not sure that anyone would actually know the answer to that question. Hope this helps! Gringa Liza, I am still unsure what a ZED fare is as well as it is kind of a new term. I mostly commute on Delta, NW, UA, and Alaska and have not had to deal with that yet! |

Yes, it will make a difference! They look at all recommendations first, from what I understand. Good luck!! Gringa |

Hola Otra Vez Gringa. Eres muy solicitada. One question. When you say it's a plus if we have a recommendation, could it be from any department or is it better if they are from FA's? what about if it's someone who is alredy retired from DL and is not a FA? Would it still be useful?. Did someone recommend you? |
|
SJDGringa in Jamaica, New York 44 months ago |
Hola Sessy, y muchas gracias. You can have a recommendation from anyone in the company. If they are retired, they still have an employee number, so I would imagine they could. Just have them go online to do it and they will be able to tell you whether or not it went through. I sort of had someone recommend me. By that, I mean that I was already scheduled for my F2F and my friend said she'd get $500 if she recommended me and I got hired, then passed 6 months. I haven't talked to her to see if she got paid, but I don't know if it was too late at that point either. |

Can anyone answer this question for me: The F2F interview in Atlanta, once you do get invited - is it really a F2F or is it a group interview session? Does everyone that's invited get a F2F? I ask because the recruiter refers to it as a F2F, but from posts I've read it sounds like it's a group interview actually, and some are selected from the group for a F2F. Patiently waiting (& hoping) here in P-town...like everyone else! |

Oops, wrong forum! Well.....ummm PDX.....I have no idea about your question, but it sounds like it's a group, then invited to a F2F. I hope that everyone is having a great weekend! |

Hello! I appreciate you offering assistance to those wanna be Delta F/A? Here are some questions I have; Best to where hair up or down in F2F?, I believe you have to score a 90% in training to pass, which makes me nervous( I am a bad test taker ),how is this 90% done. You must get this on each test, or is this the overall score at the end you must achieve?, Where do you stay in training? Hotel? Dorm?, How many a/c's does Delta have and how is that broken down in training?, Once online, do you get "check rides", my past airline did that?, After training do you get time to go home and regroup? Ok I think that covers enough Q & A for now.
I look fwd to your feedback, woo hooooo!!! |

Once they fly you to Atlanta yes, you will be with more people which you can call that a group session but part of the process is that at some point during the day, you'll have your F2F. So that means yes if you get invited to Atlanta, you'll get both group session and your F2F. Everyone invited to Atlanta will get their F2F. I hope that answers your question. Have a great week. |

Merci beaucoup RJ! :-) What a tough time. My case with Spirit is still in grievance, but at least it's there I guess. I am trying to get on with a regional right now. I need to be flying. I've been out of work for over a month, and it's getting really annoying. Unemployment pay sucks, and I have a horrible PT job that starts this weekend. *sigh* I wish airlines were more expedited in their hiring processes. Anywho....enough rants for today! |
|
SJDGringa in Portland, Oregon 44 months ago |
Ha ha Mike! I remembered just enough high school French to get the gist. LOL! Tina, ~ wear your hair however you want.
Coldturkey, they are not conducting interviews this year at all. They will be starting in the Spring of next year. If I hear of anything sooner, I will post it. Good luck! Have a great day!! Gringa |
|
MikeMCO in Orlando, Florida 44 months ago |
Yea, I made a little mistake. Oops! Hopefully I can get a job with a regional soon. I can wait for DAL until the spring! |
|
Sessy in Fairfield, Connecticut 44 months ago |
Wooow Gringa ,,,,,,, Now there won't be interviews til next Spring?. Is that the latest news??? I thought you guys (FA's) were saying that they would be hiring for this Fall of '08? We'll need more patience then....... |
|
Berta in Bakersfield, California 44 months ago |
What I don't understand is why they keep putting ads up on websites for Flight Attendant applications if they have such a long list already and aren't hiring until Spring. |
|
SJDGringa in Portland, Oregon 44 months ago |
Sessy, I never knew/heard anything about hiring for Fall of '08. We got a memo back in August stating that they were done for the year. I don't know who said anything otherwise, but we are pretty well informed. Sorry, my sister! |
|
RJ in Atlanta, Georgia 44 months ago |
Yes, those ads that keep showing up are frustrating. It's as if they're taunting us. Mike, did you ever say what actually happened? I don't want to be nosy, but I missed part of what happened to you. It's ok if you don't want to say. We all know how large companies can be. Since so many regionals are frozen now as well, who are you going to try to get on with? Pinnacle, Allegiant, MAI? |
|
MikeMCO in Orlando, Florida 44 months ago |
RJ........well lets just say it has nothing to do with my performance.....the company was treating everyone like crap, and I was a pawn. I was thinking Mesaba or Compass. |

I had understood from the FA website on the Delta area that some FA's had mentioned about possible hiring for the Fall '08. Probably I misunderstood something. Anyway,,,,, we'll keep waiting right?, we have no other option. |

GREAT NEWS!!!! Just ran into my friend here in ATL (she is the one that is on the new Delta safety video) and she is a trainer. I point-blank asked her when the next event was and she said........ JANUARY!!! They will be interviewing in January for 200-300 positions. I asked her if the classes were already full and she said no. So that is great news for all of you waiting for that F2F!!!Congrats b/c you will be FIRST to be interviewed and therefore in the first classes; and you know what that means....all the seniority you can get is valuable! Much love and I hope this finds you well and makes a positive impact on your day! I am on a freaking 4.56 hr sit here in ATL..Argh. Angst..! I don't know why the computer states me as being in West Virginia...it is my friend's computer though, so maybe that is it. Gringa |

WOOOW GRINGA TIENES UN CORAZON BELLO!!! Thanks so much for such a wonderful and hopeful info. I can feel your excitement and happiness and hopefulness for all of us that are waiting for an opportunity, waiting that someone in Delta will believe in this passion that we have for the airline, for the industry. It's the best news I've gotten in a long time after knowing my mother in law is moving out of our house (hahaha!!! just kidding!). Thanks , Thanks , Thanks and a million Thanks for what you do for us. |

I didn't want to be limited in my bidding/monthly flying requirements. Quick question, Gringa: What do you mean being LOD limits what you can bid on? If you sign a contract as LOD, do you mean that you can only bid on those places and less domestic flights? I thought being LOD would give you more freedom, not limit you? Gracias! |
|
MikeMCO in Orlando, Florida 44 months ago |
I have a friend who works for DL, and he is LOD Spanish. He mostly flies to Spain and Spanish speaking countries, but he has also gone to London, Paris, Moscow, and Amsterdam, so I don't believe that it limits you. Who knows. |

SJD, I am stymied too, I have to admit. I can't see what you did to offend anyone. I din't find your post on the other forum offensive, but someone else must have read something into it. As DeltaFA stated, that can happen when you don't have the benefit of the physical human element - words can be misconstrued. Don't let it get to you. I think the rest of us agree that your intentions are good and you have been very helpful providing us with information which we all love to hear about. Please don't let a misunderstanding and one person's confused, negative attitude drive you away. We appreciate you and DeltaFA very much for taking the time to provide us insight and encouragement. We're here for you! |

Peachy and myself are not one and the same person. I have never heard of her before, but I do agree with her. I would also like to remind everyone here that interviewers actively read this board. My interviewer actually brought it up in my F2F, which also is not with just one person, but two; but of course you all know that already from the SOURCE. |
|
SJDGringa in Portland, Oregon 44 months ago |
BAH-HA-HA-HA!!!!! Yeah, whatever, babe. Smoke another. I sincerely hope that Delta sees right through you and your other drama cohorts! I have a feeling they will! I am an old broad out here in Portland Oregon with a family and have no idea who you are or what you are talking about, but anytime you want to come to NY and actually investigate your accusations, I will give you Peter's personal numbers. Maybe you SHOULD take up toking...sheesh. |

Hey All..I'm a DL F/A also for just over six months. I'm a commuter based in New York, but I live in southern California. I know for a fact that a class is starting in january for company tranfers and possibly some LOD speakers. my roomate in New York has a friend going into that class who is a company transfer. I hope that Gringa is correct that they are going to hire more people and start a new line of classes! The class in January is the only thing I know for sure right now.. but I will also keep you posted if I find out any inside info :-) |

Hi Sarah! Thank you so much for your info! I had no idea that they were actually starting a class in January as my SOURCE (LOL) said that it would be a hiring event. I asked her what she meant and she said they'd hired all the eligible candidates up to that point and that they were actually interviewing. I never saw the internal posting, but hey, glad for your roomie!! Please DO tell us what your roomie says...update us as to if they are interviewing or if they ALREADY have slotted classes. See you on the line, my friend! Gringa |

VIPInflight in ATL in Senegal 44 months ago |
Nah its an 8 day Cape Town, South Africa trip (via. Dakar, senegal). Its a very nice trip. I wish I could hold it again..lol Now it goes senior. During the winter months our trips also get more days added to it. I saw 5 day Amman Jordan, 7 Tel Aviv, Israel, and much more. Those trips go senior tho because it high time trips. Us junior people have to search and snatch if one becomes available on the swap board. LOL For everyone applying with Delta, I hope you make it! Not for just only my selfish reasons (hehehe) but for your career as well. This is a wonderful company and I know you all will enjoy it. I wouldn't go anywhere else if I were you! United, Continental, USAir, or American offers the Aday Reserve we have. It allows us to have a life rather than spend 5-10 years without one working for peanuts. Hope to see you all on the line soon! |

At least it isn't EWR!! HA HA HA! I cannot believe how CLOSE you are to being off Adays!! OMGsh! How totally exciting! I seriously doubt I will be off Adays before January or February, though, but I sure hope you get to be off of them for December! That'd be amazing! Debbi, how weird! I haven't gotten a friend request! Can you message me there? Let's try it that way. I don't know what the heck is going on, I am so sorry, my sister! Hey Luv, nice color. |

LOL Looking forward to having you over Gringa! I'll save a Turkey Leg for you! I think everyone got screwed on their schedules. I'm flying right now with people in the 5000's and they got MAN, SNN, DUB, and they say they are JUNIOR on the trips. Can you believe that??? I am actually glad I got Adays this month, because without them, i would be working thanksgiving. I looked at some of my classmates lines, since they dont have adays, and they got screwed too. Every one of them have to work thanksgiving PLUS the weekend of. So I think Adays saved me this time. I saw on Ecrew that our seniority numbers are being resequenced on Nov 2nd! I wonder what will be our new numbers! |

777 to Mumbi, 3 Arabic Speakers
I asked my Manager about class in Jan. 2009. She didn't have any info she could give me. Like Gringa said before, there wasn't an internal memo or anything letting us know of any hiring. There are just rumors going around about it. I hope we do hire. Good Luck to you all! |
