Hi Pamela, You are such a great person, I can tell. I personally cannot thank you enough for all your words of encouragement and advises. I need that and helps someone like me that get out of focus at times. Will definitely concentrate and take your advise. Thank you very very much and hope to see you and meet you sometime if not at the friendly sky in one of your days off. Wish us the best to pass the series of tests and training. Sunshine |

The girls that lived in Memphis did not stay at the hotel. It is going to be tougher for you because you are not isolated from the things in life that can hinder your studying. I suggest you get with your other FA candidates and make time to go to the hotel and study with them. YOU are going to need the support of the other people at the hotel. It was hard for the Memphis people, you can do it just make plans to attend study groups with the others. You guys will see me when you get to Atlanta, you will be in the crew room doing your reserve time. Reserve is the PITS and you are going to hate it, but it does not last long. I hope to meet all of you, and I will help you all I can once you get here. Just pass your tests and be the best FA you can be for me!!! *smile*

Hello All, Twelve of us will be heading to MEM for the June training. Just to give all the procedure we went through this time and probably Pamela was also the same unless there are changes between then and now.
I find them very organize, informative and
Our Atlanta Team created a support study group that helps each other with study techniques, tests ourselves and what works and what doesn't. We are fortunate to have husband of one of us to create an online quiz on airport codes to make it easy to review. So pray for us and wish us the best that can be to be part of the Pinnacle family ! We are one family and just let us pass the training (as Pamela said!) and will definitely help all of you that will be next. All the best to all, Sunshine |

Hey guys I am off today and tomorrow, then I have a 2 day trip then a 3 day trip. It is no problem helping you guys, I am excited for all of you. Can't wait to see you in Atlanta, perhaps some of you will be on a FAM flight with me. You have 2 FAM flights in your 21 days there, and they are EXCITING. You get to work and experience the aircraft and what it is like being a FA. For me it was a major job change, I had been in the corporate world, a 9 to 5 existence. Being a FA was something I always wanted to do, the time was perfect for me. Remember life is to live, and follow your dreams on what you want it to be, and never give up. I have to tell you last week I looked up into the clouds out the window of the aircraft and could not believe I was actually living out one of my dreams. You can to.. so just remember that when you are fighting back the frustration of getting all this into your head in 21 days. It will all come into play when you get into the aircraft. I wish this website was active about Pinnacle when I went to training, it is nice to be able to ask questions. Pamela |

Wow, I am sooooo dissapointed!!! I went to the web site and e-mailed Paola High to confirm my attendance at the ATL open house on June 10. I just got an e-mail stating that the ATL Open house for 6/10 and 7/8 are full and the open house for 8/10 has been canceled. I was really looking forward to it since they canceled the last one in May (I was counting the weeks, I wish they would have told me when the last one was canceled that I could schedule for the next one) I wonder what they do with the people that just show up and don't e-mail as the web site requests. :( |

I just double checked my e-mail and I did send an e-mail back when I got the e-mail in May that it was canceled. I e-mailed back and said I would be at the June session. Any thoughts? |

Hey Dave, I should be with you in Aug.training group, God willing anyway. So I take it you are going to be based in MSP???? I switched to MEM. Hopefully more people will be joining this forum. You know DTW is where they are really short right now alot of people from MSP had to fly their routes. This airline buisness is more like a roller coaster ride. Part of the problem is waiting on NWA to put the numbers out.

Good Luck to all of you going to training with Pinnacle. The Morale and turnover at this airline is real BAD!!!!! The pay is not good at all.I was a Flight Attendant with them for 1 month and that was wayyyyyy to long. The Management don't respect the front line employees at all.The Inflight Department needs alot of help as well as the Inflight Program. Those old VCR tapes of safety videos as well as a Video on how to help people with Special Needs is just plain Pathetic and should be an embarrasment to their company. The front line employees have endured so much pain and suffering with this Airline. My hats off to each and every one of them for their continued dedication.I have met some of the nicest people that work for Pinncle. To sum it all up hopefully you new folks will be bring some fresh air to this Airline."OH and whatever you do PLEASE KEEP YOUR CLOTHES ON AT YOUR LAYOVERS" |

Pinnacle Infant if you read my blog you would see i never discounted any of the Pinnacle Employees.I have alot of friends that are crew members for Pinnacle that i talk to everyday.I just think Pinnacle should treat you all with the respect you all deserve.I think the pay could be a complement as well. |

Are you angry at Pinnacle or are you angry at your self???? Obviously you did not find this forum because your like us are a "Wannabee" looking for support and you are not here to give support to "Wannabee's" So why are you here?? I am sure there are other forums where you can vent your anger. Lastly what is the remark about keeping our cloths on during layovers all about??? HMMMMMM that remark is very interesting.

Every company has both positive and negatives. As a flight attendant YOU have to find an airline that fits your needs. Take time out to look at the overall picture. Does it make sense to double connect to get to base on a off day and pay for a crash pad or go with a regional that has a base your city but pay’s a little less? I personally decided to leave behind the so called good pay to be based locally. Not only will I save money but also TIME. And time is very important to any flight attendant. Looking at your post I don’t see how you can truly judge a company only after one month. Especially when 9/10 you might have been on reserve. On a side note while many people dislike reserve time, I have always tried to look at the positive side of it. You get the chance to experience overnights and flights that more senior flight attendants take. At the end of the day it’s a job with many ups and downs. And as far as the old vcr recordings my last airline (Chautauqua) the regional airline of 2008 had VERY old 1980 vcr recordings that they used throughout training. If you felt that you could not understand the material that the instructor was trying to cover you should have spoken up and said something! People fail to realize that flight attendants are often on the bottom of the totem pole as far as pay but flight attendants are also the face of the airlines itself. Anyways going back to your somewhat negative post, I’m trying to think of what interaction you had with management. Most of the time crew schedulers are the people you interact with sometimes on a daily bases not management. So if you could please explain what a manger did that made you want to leave the company only after one month it would be greatly appreciated. And as far as keeping your clothes on at layovers that deals with one’s personal standards and I truly believe that ladies and gentlemen in this forum have the up most respect for themselves with also the highest standard of class! |

hotflyer99, I'm sorry your experience with Pinnacle wasn't a positive one....that being said, we all deserve to make those opinions for ourselves as we follow our own individual dreams of becoming flight attendants. I believe that there are both positive and negative experiences with every job - actually with life in general! However it's extremely important remain positve and stay focused on what brought you to the path you chose follow to begin with. After only a short month, perhaps you didn't give the job quite enough time. Or, maybe being a FA simply isn't the career for you.... whatever your reasons, I wish you well in your next adventure. But please, let us make our own assumptions regarding Pinnacle. We may very well have a different outlook than you did. Thanks for respecting our dreams and anticipation.... |

Please don't memorize the "arrival announcement" yet, you will not need to do that to almost the very end. Do it when it gets close to the time, also someone mention you get to do trips the senior FA's do when you are on reserve, WRONG!!!!!!!! You get to do the trip no one wants such as high-speeds, CDO's, sorry I guess Pinnacle thinks you need to pay your dues. It is not that bad but the high-speeds stink in my opinion. Pam |

Very true, I thought it would be helpful if people had an early start on learning the info. Since you have the information in front of you, why not take your time to learn it, instead of cramming a few nights before the test? While your sitting at home with some downtime or when your tired of studying city codes why not learn the arrival announcement. This is only my opionin. I personally would like to see everyone pass and do there best. It can’t help to learn it! As far as reserve goes, you are correct you do get the trips that no one else wants but you also get trips from senior FAs. For example if a FA is sick or stuck in traffic or just doesn’t feel like flying and he or she calls off the trip is rewarded to a reserve if there isn’t enough time to put the trip in opentime. So, your 3 day reserve period just turned into a 15 3 day trip with overnights in HOU, and PIT! |
