Hey Eder, when I went to my interwiew I wore black dress pants, a black dress shirt, black shoes, and a black and silver striped tie. Two other guys wore black suits and white dress shirts. The other only guy wore a nice t-shirt and kahkis. I'm not sure who all got hired but with what I wore I got hired. So my main suggestion is to dress in dress pants and shirt with a tie and be fun. Think about all the people that go through the interviews and just put their resume's out there, boring and bland. Find something in common with the people and go with it. Show them who you are and be original with your answers. They ask about 5-7 questions directly about you and how you handle situations in your past jobs and in life. So just go with it and be fun. Kenny in Terre Haute, Indiana 10 months ago |
The main thing their looking for is customer service. Because that's the main thing they look for since we're going to represent the company as a whole. But be sure to stress saftey. The main reason for flight attendants is to be there for the safety of passengers and not just to hand out drinks and snacks. Sure it's about accommadating passengers, but you would be there to assist passengers in case of any emergency that might arise. Those are basically the main points that I got from other forums. This is pretty much coming from a rookie. I have no experiance in the airline industry and took what I know from myself and put to use. I tried to be charismatic and have a good time. No one wants a bland flight attendant assisting them through a flight, so if you're outgoing and enthusiastic about your answers, I can't see how you'll go wrong. |
|
Kenny in Terre Haute, Indiana 10 months ago |
Also, answering your question about who interviews for the flight attendants, I'm not sure because they had 5 total interviewing when I went. I know for a fact they had 2 that were just for recruiting. Don't worry so much about who's recruiting you because after so many years, they're all pretty much looking for the same things in qualities about everyone. |

Hi... I am going to an interview in Indiana on the 7th, which is Monday!! I need all the help I can get!! But... I'm curious on one thing more than others; that is, a SPACE AVAILABLE PASS. I am traveling from Alabama to Indiana- I was curious if I didn't get on one flight, that I would end up having to pay for any of the flights to and from. I don't care how long it takes, just as long as I get there! Can anyone give me some input! |
|
Lisa, Wheaton 10 months ago |
Thanks DeSiree! |
|
Lisa, Wheaton 10 months ago |
Kelly, I believe you just get "bumped" to the next flight. |
|
Kelley-Roo in Decatur, Alabama 10 months ago |
So, I wouldn't be paying for a flight there or home?? I'm really worried this is all a scam!! |
|
Lisa, Wheaton 10 months ago |
Kelly, Its not a scam at all. I flew there and back the same day. There is a chance of the return flight...and being bumped to where there might not be anymore flights home. You would then have to get a hotel room for the night. I believe they provided the information for it...with a reduced rate. |
|
DeSiree in Dallas, TX. in Fort Worth, Texas 10 months ago |
you're welcome sweety......no it's not a scam they're just arranged room for you on the next flight but the best thing just to be safe is to not missed the flight lol |
|
Kelley-Roo in Decatur, Alabama 10 months ago |
Ok, thanks so much Lisa!! I am sooo nervous now, because I was just going to go in there and get the job!! And from reading this forum and others like this one, I am nervous about questions and resumes?? Plus, I'm only 20?? What do you think about it all? |
|
Kelley-Roo in Decatur, Alabama 10 months ago |
And the thing is, I have already checked the flights I will be taking and the first one is full- which I know could have a cancellation, but still... it already scares me! |
|
Lisa, Wheaton 10 months ago |
Kelly, Dress the part, have a fun attitude. Be honest with your answers to the questions. Safety is the #1 concern of course...but customer service is the key. It is a group interview. Then everyone takes a break and is called in for the 1 on 1. Simple questions are asked. There is really nothing to study for. I think I remember one question being is...Who was my role model? I don't think age has anything to do with it. I believe it has to do with common sense. One girl asked during the group interview what she needed luggage for. I think the rest of room jaws hit the floor. I don't believe she was hired. Anyways, have fun, smile and GOOD LUCK! |
|
Lisa, Wheaton 10 months ago |
Kelly... Look at the following flights and check to see which will get you there on time. If you don't make the flight, call them. I am sure the will rebook your interview. |
|

Lisa,

Lisa, Wheaton 10 months ago |
Wow....I think I just found a new role model! Way to go Dad! Really don't remember the other questions. Remember answering honestly and that was about it. |
|
Kelley-Roo in Decatur, Alabama 10 months ago |
haha! I got one question down- now what's next! just kidding!! And I do have another question... when I go to my interview, I will have had to check out of the hotel- are there a lot of people who bring all of their belongings with them? Otherwise, where am I going to put it? To me, that would look tacky if I brought in all of my luggage! |
|
Lisa, Wheaton 10 months ago |
Kelly... LOL...thinking your the 1st to ask that question. We all showed up with luggage! I had one overnight piece with me. I think it does show them you are prepared for anything. |

Ha-ha!! Ok, ok. I see that is not your favorite subject! But, my weight isn't mine!! By the way- another curious question... were there a lot of 'interviewees' that were skinny or mixed or what?? I'm not skinny, but I ain't fat! haha!! Just curious!! (and yes... I asked that question!- Go me!!) |
|
Lisa, Wheaton 10 months ago |
Kelly, It was pretty much a mixed crowd. I am not a model by any means. I am not overweight either...tho dropping 20 lbs sounds great to me! New clothes!...hahaha |
|
Kelley-Roo in Decatur, Alabama 10 months ago |
I definitely could drop 20 lbs! So, that tells ya' something, huh?!! I know now that the airlines say that there are no regulations for that, but I know it has to be a major issue for them! Obviously more weight= more fuel!! |
|
Lisa, Wheaton 10 months ago |
LOL Kelly...I think I like you too! (and not that way either)...lol....MORE FUEL! |

I don't care how long it takes, just as long as I get there! Can anyone give me some input! Kelley, I flew from OKC to Denver and the flight I had was booked, so I had to wait 7 hours to get another flight out, which I was lucky enough to get the last seat. Your on a waiting list and usually they will call your name before boarding to give you your boarding pass. Dont worry, I had to cancel my hotel room because I didnt think I'd make it to the interview yesterday. But,I finally got into Indy at like 12:30 am and got to the motel around 1:30 am. I told the front desk what happened and I had no problem getting a room. If you get held up, just call Corina and let her know whats going on... |

Scotty205 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 10 months ago |
Hey Pink, I had to drive 3 hours after I got to OKC last night, I got home at like 330 am,lol. Oh, I did have a message from Commute Air on interviews the 15th and 16th in Cleveland. I havent called them yet. I'm not sure if they pay for your interview trip or not... |

Wow Eder, congrats, I was wondering what happened to ya. I've heard good things about Compass, just not sure what the pay is or where their bases are. If you go to Indy, it is very laid back interview, I done good on 1 on 1 but my introduction needs work, lol. I figure next week is when I'll hear something... |
