I am going to group interviews for them, any advice, heeds of warning, information about the airline? I have done research about US Airways and all is coming up negative, but could be just from disgruntled employees. Thanks!! |

You are going to find bad information about US Air because the unions are going to merge soon. When US Air merged with America West, the two unions must merge their senority. The senior most flight attendant at US Air has been around 50+ years because the airline is older, the senior most at America West is only about 20+, however at America West, she can get any flight she wants. When US Air hires, they are hiring under their America West brand, unless you are based about of anywhere besides PHX. Anyway, to the point, the employees of both airlines are worried about senority once the union merges. But the airline isn't all that bad, not any worse than any of the others. Skywest, I've heard great things about, if yuo don't mind working on your own. |

US Airways is only hiring out of PHX right now. Republic Airlines is hiring out of philadelphia. Its a fairly new dom so you'll get a line pretty quick, from what I hear. I would recommend you check out all three airlines in the Republic Airways holding group because I'm not sure if Shuttle America or Chatauqua has a dom in PHL. Hope this helps. |

Hi, I am a US Airways Flight Attendant and I am currently on a voluntary furlough. I know US Airways is going through some growing pains at this time due to the merger with America West Airlines, however I would like to say from what I experienced prior to my furlough, US Airways and America West Airlines people are all great. Both airlines have employees that care about the airline and have a committed attitude to make this airline work. I hope this merger contract is settled soon so I can return back to flying with US Airways. The best to all of you who are applying with US Airways. My advise would be to be yourself and be honest in your interview. US Airways is hiring you for you not for you to be someone you are not. The Best. Sincerely, Nick Pappas, US Airways Flight Attendant |
