I am a day behind. I have been sick all week and trying not to cancel so I can be at my best. I wish I had friends in Chicago so I could do the same. Last time I spent the night in the airport. Won't do that again. LOL

I was offered the job on the spot at the end of my second interview with UAL in Chicago and did my paperwork and fingerprinting there and then straight after I came out of the interview room. They then scheduled a medical the following week. They will fly you to the medical because they use preferred doctors in different places and not every state has one so they will fly you to the closest.

So when is your training going to be ?

Mags,
Why are you leaning towards UAL instead of NWA now?

- Was this comment helpful? Yes / No Reply - Report abuse

New FlyGirl

It is normal for them to call and wish you luck. Kinda cool huh? There is no lifting test or anything exciting it lasted all of about twenty minutes once you got in. Pee test, vision test, reach test, and test to see if the pressure in the cabin would bother you. Pretty easy!

New Fly Girl, how long did the interview at WHQ last? Was it fun? Did you do all of your pee test and all on another date?

Jessica,
I was leaning towards NWA first because they fly to NZ and my family is in NZ. I thought once I am lucky to get INTL flights then I will be able to see my family.

It lasted about three hours or so when all was said and done. You do the group interview, then wait, then do the one on one. At that point they either tell you you got the job or tell you you will be contacted in five days. I went from there and did my finger printing etc. I then scheduled an appt to come back for my physical about a week later.

New Fly Girl,
So , do you think we will be able to get International flights while we are on reserve?

- Was this comment helpful? Yes / No Reply - Report abuse

New FlyGirl

I don't know. From what I read it seems like a long shot. I did ask that question though and they said there have been people that have an international as their very first flight. I know we do an international flight as our "final evaluation".

What I know so far is that everybody is on reserve for international or domestic fligth, if you espeak more then one language you will have more chances to flight internationaly for the language that you speak. Been on reserve culd take as between 7 to 10 years..... . I think that's what I did understand and please correct me if I'm wrong
