Saturn in the 7th house said: I had the drug test and it was painless, waiting for them to finish all paperwork. They said they are trying to get me into the 28th class. I am willing to go at the late notice. I don't want to delay the opportunity. Does anyone know when the travel benefits start. We may have to wait 6 months to get them I think??

Hey! I was just going to write you, I just got the package today. The ticket is the print out....did you get the package. 11:30 in ewr we leave sunday the 27th.....training class starts the 28th at 8 am.

pay is 50 per day

meals are at our exspense.....

in the maunual bring business clothes some days are casual, they said most likely we will not have our uniforms by training. Bring navy skirt or slacks white button down.....

so get packing.....I am in the middle of getting all things together. So crazy......

no prob! um if you want to study the airport codes that would be a good idea....If you dont have the list I would go to colgan air and look up their destinations and make a list of all of them...there is 52 to know. I also would study the military time clock....like 0900 they have a little self test in the booklet here. So that is really all there is to study in this book.....oh and also announcements but I am not sure we have to have them memorized at this moment.....but I am probably wrong and we will have to have them memorized....those take some real memorizing. Ok....well I hope you get your fex ex. tonight or in the am. You are going to the 28th right? I had sent an email yesterday requesting the 28th group so that is why they probably sent it out asap....I am sure yours is on its way to you if you requested it.

I dont know what If I dont get it by 2moro. Do you think they would let me start. or like let me start the next training class. who did you send an email to? the H.R? Ill call in the morning if I havent got anything yet.

It just tells us what we should have with us.....also pack a watch and flashlight.....I am bringing 7 days of work clothes (casual business clothes) and a few regular casual outfits. They are specific with the appearence/ clothing etc. Make sure you have 1 pair of closed toe shoes....(not my favorite) I did mention the navy pants or skirt.....ok well good luck with all that. I am going to be packing and maybe studying later....Keep me posted!!

Hey Im so bumbd mannnnnn! I wont be starting training on monday!! =(((... I never got the ticket... so someone called me today and when I told her.. she just scheduled me for the next training class... I was so looking forward to this one... I did everything early.. its not fair!! =(...

oh man I have been non stop. I just cancelled a gig that I had lined up for tomorrow. I was so upset because I just can't work 10 hours and then get on the plane for 3 weeks. Be glad you have a little time to prepare. I just got home from a long day of city shopping and got my haircut. Be glad for the time, you have now. I was looking forward to meeting you. I am sure we will work together in the future though.... do you know when your new start date is?

lol, oh well now you will know me!! Awww we are gonna be so cute, we walked into the interview room together and will be graduating training together =) I spoke to someone and was told that I am in the class.... I just have to wait for the drug testing which should work out fine.

Hello Forum. I was just wondering if anyone attended the Open House in Houston, Texas on April 21? There was about 8 girls that showed up. 3 opted to attend the May 5th training session, and were given a date & time immediately for their 2nd interview. The remaining 5 of us choose either the June 2nd training or the July session. We were told that we would be contacted soon via email to schedule our second interview. We were also told in the meantime to complete, publish, and print our Colgan Air application I haven't heard anything yet, perhaps HR is focused on situating the ladies that are attending the upcoming training. I'm just curious and a little worried.

Hey Sarah welcome aboard lol... the whole process does not take that long.. because they are trying to get people in training as soon as posible.. so if everything goes well you might even be starting in the may 12th training class... Like I went to the april 16th intwerview and I was suppos2 start training the 28th..

Just sweetie to keep you updated, i went for the drug Test Monday, haven't heard anything yet from the Medical Office, i don't know if we are suppose to, or the result will go straight to the HR, i spoke to Tammy, she haven't submitted any papers yet, so she said that i still have to download another application fill it up sign , E-mail it ,and then fax it, and ten she will proceed with the application, and thanks a god i also faxed her something that happened to me in the past and i truly forget about, it's good to be honest up front, it's not something really bad but i had to mention it anyway, so let's hope she won't change her decision or her mind about me.:):):):)
Well let's hope for the best, and if it meant for me to get the job i will if not , then I am sure it will be something else out there, but i truly like Tammy she's wonderful person

Hope you doing well, so i guess you start studying the City codes, do not think about it that it's hard , you should be just fine I am sure, when i used to work for Air France Company as Customer Service Agent, i was supposed to study those codes too, at first maybe you will find it little hard, maybe because you see so many, but you will be ok, they are sooo easy to remember believe me, just try to study those codes little by little, and let someone help you practice another word, he will tell you the city and you repeat the codes after, to be able to memorize them, and you will be ok, and i do wish you lots of luck and also success.....

Actually i got great news, Thanks god everything went fine, my background clear, the drug test as well, i was called by Tammy, which is very wonderful and sweet person, she congragulate me, and i was told that i will be in the class training for the 28th, so I am just waiting for the Package, i thank you sooo much for your support and help and concern, you are truly nice person, and i hope that we can meet, let me know what class you gonna be in, i hope is the 28th too, looking forward to meet you and get to know you, thanks a lots again.

Hi Danielle, I believe colgan guarantees 64 hours a month but I'm not sure. I was a flight attendant with Colgan Air. I was hire May 10, 2007. Things may have changed since then but you'll make up for the hours by doing overnight trips.

Hello everyone! I just came across this forum and I just wanted to congratulate everyone who was offered a position for Colgan Air and to wish everyone luck in training. I was a former flight attendant with Colgan Air and I was hired in 2007. Word of advice, once you get your training packet study, study study. Make sure you study city codes (forwards and backward) as well as the 24 hour clocks. As far as announcements goes, it would be wise to start reading them out loud . You be reading every single day (out loud) in training until you get sick of it. Lol Good Luck everyone!

How long did the whole process take for everyone? From the open house to getting asked to training...I'm going on to the open house on saturday may 17th and I'm very curious...thanks
