It is illegal to discriminate based on age, and yes, they do hire mature, wise and experienced people. There are many people who are above fifty years old working for the company. Just go to the website and look at the flight attendant on the photo. The job can be very physically demanding when you are on reserve. sometimes you have to get up at 0300AM and not be done working until 0800PM, so take this into consideration when applying for a regional carrier. Good luck.

I was told by a friend (who works for expressjet) that they fly you to the interview. I didn't receive any information about the flight. Does anyone know about how to get that information, or if I received false info.

When I applied last year.. the email telling you you had a interview gave all the details on flying in for the interview....

SWA..I'm a much older FA for XJT...no worries about the age at all......it is tough sometimes. RSV is the pits but it's a short RSV life. Some bases are shorter than others. I was on RSV for only 8 months .....compared to over a year at other bases. It's all about customer service skills which you seem to have. Have a great positive attitude....days an be long max of 15 hours but that's pretty rare...

I wish I knew what Expressjet was looking for, what is so funny is I was invited to Skywest (Expressjet's sister company), but I couldn't go because the interviews were out of town, then you have Expressjet right here in Houston and still no invite... I didn't get invited to the last one either, which drives me crazy because I have college, and years of customer service....Oh well this is me just rambling on, I just know that if they are passing up of me ( which I have had two offers from other airlines) than who knows how many other great people they are passing up for some crazy thing they either see or don't see on someone's resume.... Sorry that is just my thoughts.....Have a great night everyone!!! :)

Yes, it is one of the for this job since Expessjet flies to Mexico and Cananda, but if you can prove with paper work that it is in process, that should be ok.

Are positively correct that all information on the application was submitted correctly? Double check your resume and application and the questions you answered on the application. Sometimes, you have to lie a little bit and don't be 100% honest on the application, unless it is a felony that has not been cleared and it is on your record. Good luck.

Hi Pamela, thanks, I actually checked a couple of times just to make sure I wasn't missing anything, but I found no mistakes. I'm guessing that my resume doesn't entice them enough. Oh well like I said before you win some , you lose some...I just wish they actually gave me a chance to lose....LOL

Hi Havingfun!!! Just wanted to say that you are telling my almost exact story right here. You know what, it is Express Jets loss! We will find an airline that appreciates us, and we will be lifelong employees of that airline, and happy to be at that airline! Just think Positive and forge ahead! :)

Please don't lie on your app...this is a job with securiy concerns. 9 times put of 10 if you lie they will find out. I had a fcouple friends who did and they didnt get the job. They will overlook something's , be honest and let them know if there's an issue with anything... I had an issue explained it and it all worked out.

Thanks, I don't want anyone to think I am bitter or mad because I haven't gotten an invite lol, I was just thinking what is it about my resume or profile they just didn't like... I am a happy and pretty easy going positive person. All I can say is "Happy Saturday" to everyone and I am def moving on.....LOL

WORST advice E-V-E-R. Don't even think about lying. It WILL be discovered at some point and even if you get hired you will be dumped the minute you are outed (even if it's during a trip.) You will also NEVER be able to able to that airline again.

Also, if you're using your real name.....that's going to be a big, red flag to airlines that scour these forums......

I received my confirmation email for the August 22 interview a couple days ago! I'm confused as to how I got an interview when there are other people on here saying they also have a degree and customer service experience?? I thought that was how I got the interview so I wonder why they are choosing some and not others...anyway I'm really excited and hope I do well at my interview!:/

I was extremely disappointed to have to turn this interview offer down and I didn't realize how bad I really wanted this job, until it was taken away!

I also applied first part of July. From what I read I dont think EXJet sends out thanks but no thanks emails or letters. That would be nice so we can cross them off the list knowing for sure they are not interested. With them not flying people in for the interview I wonder if they will interview in other citys besides Chicago and Houston??
