Galina in Wheaton, Illinois said: I have been cold calling for a month and nothing, any suggestions? Take a look at this disk. It helped me out. |
|
John Hodur in Naperville, Illinois 9 months ago |
Buying that disk is a waste of time and money. You have to think how many other people bought that same disk and are contacting the same shippers. You are just going to be competing with everyone that bought that cd. Cold calling is still the best option. It might take a month or two to get a solid customer base, but it will be more profitable then trying to make money off of a cd. Freight Distribution, Inc. is signing up agents for the upcoming new year. E-mail info@freightdist.com if you are interested. Commission rate of 65%!! |

DWolfe in Burlington, Washington 9 months ago |
The disk saved me time and money. I didn't waste time searching everywhere for companies to call, and didn't make a bunch of calls to companies that didn't fit into what I was looking for. I found a full customer base and didn't even get 1/3 through the disk. |

Cold calling can be challenging, but there are many factors involved with having success. Are you targeting the right type of companies? What has your strategy been regarding your approach with prospects? Have you been making follow-up calls with prospects? If you are working as an agent for a brokerage, I would think they would be supportive and help offer some coaching and guidance. We help provide our agents sales leads by subscribing to largest database and providing leads to our agents at no charge. I would recommend you seek some support from your brokerage and if you don't feel that the advice is helpful, seek a brokerage that can help you be successful. Thank you,
Gruhn Global Resources, L.L.C.

Cold Calling Customers is one of the most difficult parts of any sales related industry. Sadly, it often times comes to "selling yourself" rather than the service you ahve to offer. By that I mean your personality must always come across as helpful and friendly, if you sound desperate or push, it is usually a turn off. There is truth in the statement that a smile can be heard across the phone, so remember to get a good smile going and enjoy what you are doing...if you are frustrated, take a walk, eat a candy bar or do what ever you need to to shake off the blues. Hang in there and eventually you will find that first, second and third customer. Also, remember who do you know and who do they know......friends, family and the guy at the grocery store probably know someone in the transport industry...use what you got for resources. i am always interested in talking to new agents and those interested in the business. I currently have a few things going that are perfect for someone starting out. Check out my profile or email pam@bigrigjockey.com |

Make sure that the person offering the advise knows something themselves. They prey on innocence. Take advise from more than one person and weed out the helpful information.
