Sorry... Misread your post... What you pay depends on a couple of things.

Are you a trucker looking for someone to basically find you freight and dispatch?
A: I used to do this for O/O for a fixed %. I have also done it for a "Flat Rate" per load. You just have to watch out for the loads they book through brokers. Lower paying, and you still have to pay them for finding it.

Are you a broker looking for an agent?
A: A fixed % per load booked

Thanks..I am a broker looking for someone to find customers for me...I will be the one moving the loads and dealing with the customer...I am just looking for someone to find the customers for me....

Hire an agent for a fixed % per load moved from each customer they find for you.

I know a company that finds the loads and books the loads for 3% of what the load pays and they will usally have loads waiting for you to pick up by the time you get unloaded so there is no dead time. I use them my self for my trucks and it makes my life alot easier and they get me rates depending on the states from 1.40 a mile to over 3 dollars. remember the more they make you is the more they make and that is the way it should be.
