I am currently weighing my options to either sign on with a brokerage or start my own. I know that high MC numbers are looked down on greatly. I am asking if I could purchase a MC# from someone that isn't using it, or is that not an option? |

Do a thorough credit check and bond filing check on every mc# you consider buying. You have to realize that the mc #'s are on the market for one reason or another. the purchase price of the number is not the only cost you will have in the purchase but it is a viable option. You will also have to build your own credit under the number and carriers will realize that you have not been in business (transacting business)as long as the mc# number is old. I would not sell mine for $200,000. It has been a long road to establish my A rating with average days to pay at 22. |

I am actually in the process of selling my MC number, it is low since I've had it since 2004 and it is clean. 551789, let me know if you are interested. |
