Looking to join a Logistics company in Chicago! Help!

I am very interested in this industry and am looking to find any openings as a freight broker for a logistics company in Chicago. Unfortunately, I do not have any prior experience. However, I have plenty of account management/sales experience and am confident I have the tools to be very successful at this type of career. One of my best friends works for Circle 8 Logistics here in Chicago and ever since I began talking with him about this industry, I've gotten very excited. Does anyone know of any companies in Chicago that are looking to mold any new brokers into their companies? I would greatly appreciate any help, since I am new at this and looking to jump-start a career in Logistics!

I am a previous mortgage broker. The way mortgage industry is heading is almost impossible to make a decent living. I am looking into other fields. I am interested in frigth broker industry but it seems like getting into it without experience is difficult. I currently have a home office and some capital to buy lists or anything needed for marketing.
Where do you think I should start? I have more than 15 years in sales and marketing experience. Do you think I can work for or with your company?

My situation is that I have no actual experience in transportation but have extensive sales customer service/relations experience as well as management. I have done extensive research on this career opportunity and have even looked into becoming a broker. I do feel that I need more experience and would welcome the opportunity to work with a company here in the chicago area. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks for your time.

I am very interested in becoming part of the team at a logistics company and being a freight Broker. I know a bunch of people here in Chicago that work for freight companies, and I have been talking to them about it, and I have been getting very interested in the freight business. I am looking for a company that will pay me a salary. I am a very hardworking individual and am willing to work any amount of hours that are given to me.
