Represent great company that can ship loads cross country fast--tips?

Hey guys, I'm a sales representative for a company with locations throughout the US, including LA and well I'm looking to expand our customer base.

For companies located in LA or Ventura county, we'll pick up their shipment (reefer LTL or LTL) and have it in various locations on the east coast in less than a week, depending on the state.

I am not a broker however so I dont need tips on how to do well as a broker. I just find more customers--I'll be giving potential customers any info necessary like pricing, service details, forms necessary, etc to gain their business. In other words, I will be involved in setting up the initial contact between parties but will not be dispatching or anything like that.

Have any tips for me? I'm pretty new to the industry and Im learning new things everyday. This really is a great company, I've seen them grow. Im excited to say the least! I just need to get off to a good start. Thank you.
