I used to work for a Freight Brokerage, but do not want to be a freight broker. However, I enjoyed cold-calling and landing accounts. So I have started up a sales agency. I am currently working with a brokerage in the North East, but they can't cover a lot of the customers I am landing. Our current arrangement is that I get 10% of the profit on all loads from the customer during the first year, 5% the 2nd and 2% thereafter. Does anyone know of any other brokers that would be in need of my services? I have flat-bed, dry van and reefer customers in the works, but I need dependable brokers that can actually cover the freight. All comments are welcome... |

I am a broker and would be able to cover ANY loads that you have, I would be willing to pay 15% on all loads as long as we stay together. If this opportunity is still available. I have a fleet of trucks and I am a Broker with a flawless record. |

You would make a great agent and keep all the money. I would be very interested in talking with you. Definately have plenty of carriers, flatbed, vans and reefers. Top nptch safety records and top notch customer service..sounds like a match made in heaven. Send me a note! I think this guy is smoking something....... |

LuLou, I think you may be right. I've been doing this a long time, and never heard of half this stuff. I got involved in this forum looking for other agents to share ideas, input, insight, etc..I ended up trying to help save clueless people from bloodsucking individuals preying on the impressionable and uneducated. I have been busy. I have already met a total stranger, welcomed them into my home and talked the business. Have spoken to several over the phone. I just can't believe some of the stuff I hear, what some companies tell people and they believe. Its a sad state of affairs...some how when I wasn't looking this business got even more cut throat! |

"Does anyone know of any other brokers that would be in need of my services? I have flat-bed, dry van and reefer customers IN THE WORKS, but I need dependable brokers that can actually cover the freight. All comments are welcome..." IN THE WORKS is the key phrase here folks............ This industries economy, and with this winter weather, and the fact that NWA Sales rep has not been replying or RE-commenting, proves to me, that this guy was fishing back about 7 months ago.

LULou you really seem to have it together. You are a realist. Most of these people are living in La La Land.. |

I hope it's a doublewide. Best wishes to you and I hope you remain on the board here to help these people that are really struggling instead of popping in after another 7 months to pound sand....... |
