I have been observing this forum for some time and it appears that there are a lot of people looking to be agents but can't seem to find a broker because they don't have a book of business. It appears that many people are frustrated because they want to get in this business but don't understand the concept of the business. A lot of people think they can take some training and just jump into the business. Freight brokering or being a freight agent for that matter is not like selling pre-paid legal services or being part of an MLM opportunity. Or is it? As a broker, I have many good customers and continue to do more and more business each month. Why? Because this business is more than just getting customers, it is about offering a service. If I want to get customers, I can get as many as I want. But if I am offering a service, then it is more than just getting customers. How can I keep a customer if I don't know how to service them?
