I have a PhD in Economic Geology (awarded in 2007) although limited industry expereinence. I am seeking a change of career to increase my salary and apply what I learnt in almost 7 years at university. I worked in several GIS based prospectivity mapping projects, and also resource definition projects, during the post-grad and post-docs undertaken. Now I believe it is time for me to move into industry to achieve my goals.
I really hope someone can provide some suggestions. I applied in several mining companies websites with no response. I have also visited many recrutment agencies but still on the wait.
