Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming graphic artist interview? Are there common interview questions that come up again and again? |

But don't let that discourage you. The place I work at often hires people new to the industry if their work and their enthusiasm is good. Just stay positive, keep polishing your portfolio and don't give up if this one doesn't work out. There aren't any magical answers to questions...just be yourself. |

It helps to know kind of work the company does and showcase items related to that. For example, the place I work hires Prepress artist as well as ad artist. Pre press work mainly in Photoshop while Ad artists work in Illustrator and Indesign. If your proficient in the programs used and you have a portfolio that showcases your skills its a big first step. |

The key is ENTHUSIASM! Show how much you love what you do
LIsten and act interested in the people that interview you.

They'll ask the question, "what do you like most about being a graphic designer?" Answer this with heart felt desire for the field. Remember this. Send everyone you interviewed with a handwritten note of appreciation.

Try to make a connection with the interviewer. Find something with them that you both have in common.
