I am considering a career change and have always been interested in color. I worked in salons at the front desk when I was in high school and really enjoyed my time there. I am researching schools and realizing that the well know schools are really expensive. Seems the community college courses will prepare you for the state board exam at a fraction of the price. I was wondering if the quality of training, reputation and job placement that all the larger school up sell is relevant and true or if it makes little impact regardless of where you went to school. I assume you'll have to work as an assistant to eventually get going.

Thanks for the information.
