I was just wondering if anyone has rented a state board cosmetology kit and if it was worth it and where did you rent it from?

looks like no ones answered you yet, hope its not to late, i rented my kit from my school but know a few people that got kits from western states and really liked it. i purchased a dvd from them prior to my test and saw what their kits looked like they had them together nicely basically how my school made it and yes its definately worth it.

It is absolutely worth it to rent a kit. I'm taking my stateboard exam tomorrow. And I rented my kit from WESTERN STATES KIT COMPANY. Along with the dvd, they offer refresher courses. These classes are free as soon as you've ordered and paid for your kit. Don't waste your time on trying to get a good kit together, they do it all for you. Good luck! =D.

I loved the fact that my kit had everything i needed and more. took away so much worry and is worth the $100. i went with Western States kit co. i loved it. Hassle free testing.

I just recently took my State Board Exam for Cosmetology and passed. I purchased the DVD and practice exam from stateboardhelp.com for $100 altogether. The practice exam is 85% of what's on the written test. Now that I'm done, I'd like to sell it. I'd like to get at least $75 out of it but I'll take the best offer. I just don't need it any more. Do you have a web address for western states kit? I need a refresher and a kit and have had no luck finding info on the web but blogs like this:-) Thank you!!

I rented mine from California Supreme Kit Company in Glendale, CA right next the the exam location. I thought it was very well put together, very neat, all procedures are clearly items are separated and labeled to help avoid confusion and not waste time.
