no but in what context is the statement pertaining to a new country throwing out its leaders or new leaders turning against there country? |
|
Karl the heavy equipment guy in Winchester, California 39 months ago |
I should have put it as; Does this describe you and are you willing to be a revolutionary against a revolution? |
|
rick in Newbury Park, California 39 months ago |
exactly,if your revolting against a revolution the your either being nuetral or your on the side thats being revolted against you cant revolt against the revolution so what was your point? |

The man who said this statement, said it at the sentencing phase of his trial. He was being tried for treason and for speaking out agaianst what he thought was a corrupt government. He organized people who thought just like he did,A group of "free thinkers" as he called them. They made a gallant but failed attempt to take control of the government by force. The government arrested him and his friends, tried and convicted them;but when it came time for sentencing, the judge took into consideration that these people had served there country and gave them the minumum sentence. Were they fairly treated by the government? And should the man and his friends be considered patriots for doing what they did? |

Why is it that you guys are turning this thread into a political argument rather than trying to help fellow operators. Just a thought. |

The american youth rate #1 in self asteem, The Chinese youth have the highest percentage of students recieving consistant A'S in math and so on. USA #14. We have a lost generation that dont know how or even want to work. This country was founded on Gods word now they don't want anything to do with it. So its not a suprise that USA is not mentioned in the last days of the Bible. |

|
ron shuman in Belleview, Florida 30 months ago |
yea ATS has schools that teach GPS..how to set it up not sure what the cost is...but from what Im told you get really great pay and jobs when you can do gps..this is the bottom of the ladder..its just catching on..you can get in the seat and set the gps...and when your grade is with in 1000 it will beep..you still operate..should be great for you young guys.. |

I WENT TO A SCHOOL IN VICTORVILLE (ATS) AND GOT ENTRY LEVEL CERTIFIED BUT IM HAVINING A HARD TIME GETTING A JOB.IS THERE A APRENTICE PROGRAM I CAN GET INTO OR A UNION I CAN JOIN ,AND HOW DO I GO ABOUT DOING THAT? |
|
rick in Stokesdale, North Carolina 30 months ago |
you have to contact the local 12 office and ask them when the next test is and sign up for it then u got to wait depending on how well u score is how long it takes to get dispatched by the looks of things it could be awhile your behind a long list of experienced operators i can tell u from experience your not going to go to work right away you can still persue it but u need to have something on the back burner till that happens |
|
Karl the heavy equipment guy 30 months ago |
Operating engineers local 12 has an apprentice program but don't get your hopes up about getting into a seat any time soon. This economy is still a mess and the jobs are few and far between even for the most experienced operators much less the rookies. You could try local 12 but I wouldn't get my hopes up |

Went from $60,000 a year (with some over time) to $24,000 a year (thats about $12 per hour). I'm union local 101, heavy equipment operator. I have 20 years exp. & am 44 years old & have seen these 20 year old "rats" that join the union and bad mouth the union, but they are the ones on the good jobs, including forman jobs. Can't understand it. My older "union all the way" friends and I are sitting at home without work and without insurance for our kids, while these young guys with no kids have insurance and jobs. I wish I had a place to move with work, I think I would relocate. I'm in Kansas now and there is no work. shanehfitz65@yahoo.com |

ANYONE KNOW WHAT MATERIAL I CAN USE FOR STUDY TO PAST THE TEST TO GET INTO THE APPRENTICE PROGRAM????? |
|
rick in Linden, North Carolina 25 months ago |
mechanical apptitude would help but there really is no test to help u study the apprentice test is designed to see what kind of commen sense and mechanical ability you have and how your brain figures things out, questions like if gear a is turning clockwise while gear b has 13 teeth what will gear c do? not thaqt thats a question but when i took it ,thats what kind of questions were on it,and basic math and what not |
