I am a 23 year old man, seeking to enter an apprenticeship program. I am willing to move to any of the following states for this Montana, Colorado, Alaska, Florida, Washington, Michigan, Idaho or Oregon. I have several years in the building industry, most of that with lumber yards. I have went from yard hand to management. I understand jobsites, and how they work. I have a ton of experience on forklifts and a little experience with front end loaders and backhoes, from working with small housing developers. I do not have enough experience running equipment nor would i claim to in order to get a job. I also have a class A CDL with air brakes ands combination endorsements and soon to have Hazmat. I have an OSHA-10 Certification. What other steps can I take to improve my odds of getting picked for an apprenticeship program? I feel as though I would be an excelent candidate. I have also considered schools such as nahets and ats however i have also herd that most companies will not touch you even after you have paid $15,000 and up. HOW CAN I GET MY FOOT IN THE DOOR???????? PLEASE HELP!!!!!! |
