Does anyone know the requirment to work in georgia prior to sitting the board exam because i am getting a job and they say i need the state to approve me to work as a histotech

Hi Sereen,
I was under the impression that the only thing you needed was to be ASCP certified. I would check with your insructors from your histology school. Another place to check is with the department of health for the state of Georgia.

I have worked in the field for 28 years and I have never heard, that he state of Georgia me to approve a person to work in the field of Histology. Your employee is requise to prove to the state that you are registered with the board. They will give you a application from that state to field out.

I have worked in the field for 28 years and I have never heard that the state of Georgia have yo be approve to work to work as a histotech. Your employer will give you a application to fill out for the state, but that is not your responsible it your employee.
