How did you get your start doing hr manager work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

Do you need a particular educational background?

You will need a 4-yr degree in Human Resources (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor or Arts, depending on your university's HR program). Professional certification, PHR or SPHR (Professional in Human Resources - the nuts & bolts; Senior Professional in Human Resources - strategic planning for the organization's human resources needs).

It is more creditable if you work your way up the career ladder (progressive experience) starting with HR Admin., HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, HR Mgr, HR Director, etc.
