How did you get your start doing hr specialist work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

Do you need a particular educational background?

I currently have an Associates Degree in Office System Technology/Business and I have earned a total of 180 hours towards my bachelors degree. I only have one class left to complete.

All of my work experiance has been in Accounting, but I would like to pursue a career in Human Resouces. I just need to know what I need to do to get started.

I hold a certificate in Human Resource Management, with over 6 months HR experience. I was placed in my new company as a Human Resource Specialist. What got me the job was my excellent communication skills, and the ability to be a great leader.

I was an intern in HR while I was obtaining by Bacheors degree in Business (HR focused). (I Already finished my AA in Business)After my internship, I began working as an HR assistant(40 hrs a week + college) for a different company. Offering my assistance wherever I could and doing the job efficiently. As I got closer to graduation, I worked my way to HR Specialist. I think the more education, experience and determination you have the faster you will move you through the HR field.
Hope this helps:)
