I have found two schools in my area that offer programs in HVAC. The closer school only offers a 3 semester 19 credit program, but the other school offers an associate of applied science degree which is 4 semesters and 66 credits. I would like to know which one is better for someone with no experience. I have gone to college before, but did not finish. I earned 87 credits toward a general biology degree. It appears that I have already earned credits in general education electives that would account for 17 of the 66 credits toward the AAS degree. I am doubtful that the school would accept all credits for transfer. What should I do.

The only way you should be going is through an apprenticeship with a comany! These schools seperate of an employer will just take your money. I really recomend union, you can search for a local UA in your area. They will set you up with FREE education and a job! They also have the best education you can find for the trade. You won't find anything nowadays that transfered credits will work for usually but the unions are acredited through local community colleges and most do allow you to continue for an associates and if you already have the core classes done they might accept them.
