I graduated in November 2008. I have been looking for a job like my life depended on it 4-5 hours online everyday. Why no job. Type I and II certification, apprenticeship license, valid drivers license (0) points. No job. WHY!!!. I am dependable, hard working. I just need a chance, seriously. HELP!!!.

Well guys things are not much better here in NC I have a little over two years on the job experience have my Epa-universal card and three years plus of technical schooling with an A.A.S degree. I lost my job back in Sept. but still do not have Employment. it STINKS! I had an interview two days ago, I had four test there. Internet exployer, MS Word, Excel and finanlly a 100 question test on hvac. The guy told me my score was high and I did well, but they hired someone with years more experience. Experience time factor is what I keep running into.

Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble. I know how you feel. I sent out what felt like hundreds of apps and nothing. Anyway, I finally landed an interview and I made sure I was ready. These interview questions really helped. Good luck.

I don't know how you feel guys feel about relocating but California and Florida seem to have the most jobs for people that are new in the field. The payrate in CA. is higher and there seems to be more work out there. I've been in the Business for two years and am having the same problem, this time of the year bigger Cos. will hire on because they have a lot of PM work, it's a foot in the door and that's where most wanna be Techs. will start anyway. Either PM's or installs and it will usually last a year unless you show them that your a quick learner. Like most of you have said, the economy sucks right now so people are opting not to have any work done on there A/C and Heat Systems, at least it's that way in the Northeast.
Good Luck To All !!!
