I would just like to kick around some ideas about insurance marketing. We are an independent firm and so I don't need to discuss the captive vs. independent debate (i'm bias my bio can explain). For agents, it really doesn't matter, you need to generate business and close it no matter the commission structure.
So, here's some marketing options.
1. Hire the cold-caller (given you have money) or do-it-yourself for the new folks. Smile and dial produces fair results.
2. Sales Seminars - Can be costly. Audience sometimes hit-or-miss.
3. PPC - Has gotten ridiculous in the last few years w/competition
4. Buying leads - never been as effective as generating them ourselves.
Any other marketing tips out there besides good ol' SEO best practices?
