Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field?

What skills should you learn to increase your salary?

A starting jeweler usually make about 10 dollars an hour. Depending on the skills of the jeweler(soldering, stone setting, engraving, casting, etc.) you can make around 25 dollars an hour.

Stone setting and hand-engraving are the main ones in my opinion that will increase your salary. But being able to do quality torch work at a good speed is also important.
