1. Know what employers are really looking for. (It is NOT the quantity or quality of work performed.)

2. Know how to sell. If a person could not make it as a commissioned salesperson, they probably will not be a good job developer. But sales skills can be learned.

3. Understand that 70% of new hires are with small employers.

The most important is the sales skills. In the end you have to conveince people to hire multi barriered people with no financial incentive.
