Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming juvenile probation officer interview? Are there common interview questions that come up again and again? |

My best advice for those looking into being a Probation Officer is to apply everywhere you can. Beef up your resume to include volunteer work with kids (YMCA, coaching, etc). Understand that a lot of the work is not out making arrests and law enforcement oriented (depending on the department, some are more law enforcement oriented that others). |

How much you guys think this will affect my chances to move on? I imagine it would depend on how well you answered the first two. What kind of questions did they ask you in the interview. I have a interview in a week for a probation officer job and trying to prepare best I can, any tips and insight? |

The questions will be based upon a situation that you may have encountered and that you will have to analyse and make recommendation. I did not complete the interview I got sick and had to reschedule. |
