Firstly...be prepared and assemble a great resume with drawings, presentations, and work-scopes of previous projects. Photo's if you have them are always a plus.

People who interview designers are keen to spot professional attitudes. Talk to them as though they are a friend and have a sense of humor about yourself. Be honest! You have to sell yourself before you sell a design or the job.
