I am an LPN for close to 32 yrs. Have experience in telemetry, ICU/CCU, open heart, resp. ICU and virtually all phases of nursing. Have also worked in physicians offices. Most recently had worked for neurologist/certified sleep specialist who sold his practices to larger hosp. corporation;however, there was no LPN position for me. I was crosstraining to be a sleep tech only it was taking too long for me to learn the program so I was "let go". I am 58 yrs old, single and have no income. Prospects not great where I live. What do we do? It's like their getting rid of baby-boomers. How do we survive? Anyone else in their 50's come across this problem. Oh, and no health coverage now. |
