I need your input. I graduated with honors 2008. They didn't teach us deep tissue. I've tried chiropractors, clinics and salon/spas on local job postings. The majority wants you to know deep tissue. I used my money for school and really don't have any left for a deep tissue class. Obviously I learned swedish and hot stones and chair.Do you have a suggestion of who else I can try?

I would check your school and the local libraries for Instructional dvd's and/or books about Deep Tissue Therapy. Most libraries have a co-operative feature of sharing books between locations. Ask your library reference desk to help you find what you need.

Ask massage therapists and chiropractors in your town for help. Maybe trade massage for some tutoring.

Search the internet for free information on deep tissue. Go back to your massage textbooks and see what is in them.

Also look at youtube.com - expert village.

Half.com has books, videos, etc. for half price. Search for sources for used textbooks and materials

Best of luck.

Learn on your own but be sure to practice on someone as you go who is a massage therapist or just get a local massage therapist to work on you a few times. It doesn't cost much to take a class and it would help much more since deep tissue could hurt someone if you don't know what you are doing.
