I am about open a wellness center and want to hire two massage therapist. I already have three machine operators for inch reduction, wrinkle removal (non-invasive)and body sculpting. I know nothing about how a massage therapist would operate. I am a natural born leader and have enough sense to reach out to other experts when I DON'T KNOW things, so here I am. I have question like: rent a space from me or collect a commission from their clients? I understand what each means, but I don't understand the concept of which is the best. I know wanting to know this information lead you to ask me other question and please do, I need the help. Any other advice you would give me is certainly a seed that I will plant. Thanks |

some therapists rent a room or a split commission on servies rendered with the bussiness owner. commisions are more common in this area and range from 50% to 60%(therapist). however you may want to offer a room for rent for those who have a long client list, depending on whom you hire some may have already aquired clients. I am not sure on rent rates, i want to say 600.00 a month you may just want to call a spa and ask i would try tru blue aka the oasis or le spa i think they rent out rooms. therapists are usually independent contracters. most interviews require the therapist to give a massage to owner or someone you chose to know if the therapist is good therapist. always check their license and make sure it is up to date |
