I just passed the MBLEx and I used the new 2012 Edition of the Massage MBLEx Study Guide Q & A by Daphna Moore. They update their books each year with the most current questions being given on the exam; thanks to the students! You can order it on their web site www.mblexstudyguide.com and they ship all of their medical exam books 2-3 day Priority Mail too. Of all the online practice exams and books that I purchsed, this book helped me the most to pass the exam. Good Luck For those of you who are wanting to take the NCBTMB, the MBLEx is far easier for sure. |

I, too, passed the MBLEX in Jacksonville and I also used the new 2012 Edition of the Massage MBLEX Study Guide by Daphna Moore. I saw it advertised on their web site. It does not have all the modalities in separate chapters but it does have just about all the questions that I had on my exam and I passed. Thank you Daphna Moore. The web site www.mblexstudyguide.com is where you can order it. I can't say enough about how good the book is. |

Just took the MBLEx, I moved from another state where I had gotten my license by taking the NCBTMB. The MBLEx is much easier in my opinion. I had to study for a few months because it had been so long since I took a licensing exam. But it was pretty general and not really worded to confuse you like the NCBTMB exam. Buy or borrow "Ethics for Massage Therapists", and "Don't Panic! Questions & Answer To Pass The Massage Therapist National Exam" and use a website like studystack. |

Justin in Dayton, Ohio said: Has anyone used Master the Massage Therapy Exams book?? It was published in June 2011 and my library has it. Would rather save 40 bucks from buying mblexstudyguide book. It is horrible. Too many mistakes, and questions that didn't make sense. At first I thought I had been out of school too long, until I started looking up the information. I did not care for this book. But it does have a nice resume/cover letter layout, that is helpful. I am taking the Mblex April 14th. Been out of school since 2003, wish me luck! ;) |

I just took the test today, and I passed with an 833. I used www.utmi.com/MBLEx_Practice_Exams.pdf I felt the test was easier than these practice questions. Good luck! |

I, too, used both of the practice books you used. I was fortunate to have gotten Daphna Moore's new 2012 which really was a big help also. What I liked about her book was the new client assessment questions and the questions on hydrotherapy because the water temp is very important to know and the health of the person also. |

To those that have taken the test: are there a lot of origin/insertion/action questions on the test? That is where I am weakest and I am really worried about it. |

I am using that study guide as well as massagenerd.com and some of my class materials. It would be nice to know where I am at. |

I can honestly tell you that I did not have a SINGLE questions like that on the test. The questions on the test were no where near as complicated as some of the questions in that book! I wouldn't over stress it. |

Leslie, are there a lot of INSERTION, ORGIN, and ACTION questions on the MBLEX? and did you feel like that study guide helped you out a lot?? That's the only study guide I've been using (the first one you mentioned) |

That's the only study guide I've been using (the first one you mentioned) Nope, not really. I probably had 3 questions pertaining to origin, insertion, action on my ENTIRE TEST. A lot of my questions were like "If a client come in with this problem, then what muscle is effected". I also had a lot on massage techniques and a few on ethics and pathologies and one or two on specific people. It is mostly common sense! The best advice I can give is to not freak out about it because the questions are not very complicated and it is usually pretty easy to narrow it down to 2 answers. |

I just passed my MBLEx thanks to the new 2012 edition of the MBLEx Study Guide, by Daphna R. Moore. www.mblexstudyguide.com Most of the questions that were on the exam were in her book and it is easy to study because it does not have all the multiple choice questions. Each question has the answer right under the question. I highly recommend it. A lot of the people in my school also used her book. I know Amazon sells that book at a discount but the retail price was well worth it. |
