I want to work for a Chiropracter but want to be paid fairly. Im 12 years experienced and he wants part time. What is a fair hourly wage for 2 eight hour days?

Figure out what you want/need to make and then figure out a way to get it.

It also depends on how much he charges the client/insurance company. Will you be paid as an employee or subcontractor? What will you supply and what will he supply? What if you don't have a client? Who's responsibility is it to get clients?

Working for less than you need to make is a sure way to burnout.

Instead of "figuring out what you want", figure out the chiropractor's average reimbursement for massage, then start at 60%. After you've proven yourself go up to 70% in 6 months to a year. Yes, the chiro's rent, advertising, and other overhead costs him/her that much.

I want to make $500K a year, but we chose a career that requires minimal education and risk and does not warrant that much in the market. It's better to deal with reality.

My first job was at a chiropractor's office, and I started at 50%. I went up to 60% when I direct marketed new clients, then 75% after a year. Soon after that I went out on my own. In comparison, I kind of liked working for commission! It was simpler and I made almost as much money.

I get the commision thing but he wants me there for 8 hours and when Im not doing massages Im expected to do little rubs here and there and do 10 units and ultra sound. So Im doing everything. So how do you get commision when your doing other work in between?

Yeah, that's definitely not a commission situation. In Washington the good chiropractors pay $25 an hour for experienced LMP employees who are also expected to do easier work like ultrasound and TENS. I'd check your area's CraigsList to see what the going rate is. It depends on so many factors, it's hard to say what a good rate is for your particular situation.
