What are the top 3 traits or skills every medical assistant phlebotomist must have to excel?

Can you suggest any tips or insights to develop your medical assistant phlebotomist expertise?

Yeah-make sure your medical assistant program is teaching the phlebotomy section by someone who KNOWS phlebotomy. Don't assume that the instructor is certified in phlebotomy just because they say they are "through their medical assistant certification". They are 2 separate certifications,2 completely different exams,in fact the phleb. one is more difficult. In my MA program the "phlebotomy" part was lacking in a LOT of things,so many important topics were skimmed over,or not even taught. If this is typical in most MA programs then it is a disgrace.

The top 2 traits for a successful MA/PBT would be-

1. A registered, capable MA who has great people skills.
2. Training in a phlebotomy program (complete with clinical lab science technology),with certification.
