If your looking to gain experience the best thing to do is to volunteer at your local hospital. I know it doesn't pay but it does give you experience in a clinical setting. Also by volunteering at a hospital you can set yourself up for experience in different fields like internal medicine, gyn, dermatology, ped's and more. It's also a double hitter because jobs like to see when you have volunteer experience. In your case I'd volunteer for 6 months & send out resumes after 3 months and again at 6 months. Also remember you should be able to apply for phlebotomy (draw blood) positions as a medical assistant too at least until your offered a job as a medical assistant.
