Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming medical billing clerk interview?

Are there common interview questions that come up again and again?

I created questions for my office just to see what a person knows about billing. Here are some questions.

What is a dx?

A. description B. diagnosis c. Digestive Xray

What is an EOB?

A. External Organism Benign B. End of Bonus C. Explanation Of Benefits

If Mary husband has has Cigna and Mary has BlueCross at her job, which is primary for Mary and why?

BlueCross is primary because if both spouses work, their insurance at their job through their employer is primary for each individual. Cigna is primary for the husband and Bluecross is primary for Mary.

We normally give the person 10 questions that generally everyone should know that have experience. Other than that they just ask the normal questions.

Why are you leaving your job?
What are your weaknesses?
What is the most important factor to you in a job?
Do you work better alone or in groups?

etc.

BUT, what if you are an inten/exter/apprentice and you have not even been given a cghance to prove yourself in an actual office to get hands on experience? What about interview questions for those people?!!?!!?
