Hi I just got my CCS and CCA from AHIMA, but most of the coder jobs I applied for stated that I didn't have experience and they usually required 2-3 years minimum in coding background. My job developer told me that I should not jumped into coder career since in the first place. She said I should go for LVN, it is much more easy to get start with LVN even if I am a new graduate. Nurse is always in high demand, no matter how bad the economy is. Now I am thinking about returning to school next year for LVN program. I will try to find a job as a coder first, but if I cannot land a foot on any coding position within 6 months, I will think about LVN program again. What do you think? English is not my first language, so I am sorry if my English is not perfect |

Congradulations on passing the exam. I havent taken the exam yet because there is no jobs for coders in kentucky that I know of, Im thinking about going back to school for LPN, and maybe down the line I'll do coding, but I believe its hard to get into that field. Good luck |
