not referring to the icd9cm book itself, but the study aides, i.e. Faye Brown, Clinical Coding workout, I hear these books really help but i don't want to spend that much on extra books to buy the new versions. Would it make a huge difference to study and practice from an older version? |

Would it make a huge difference to study and practice from an older version? It doesn't make much of a difference. I NEVER buy new editions of books. Its cheaper that way, and the codes and guidelines do not change much from one edition to another. Besides, the point is to gain experience with looking up codes, or coding case scenarios, and older editions accomplish that. I am studying for the CCS and I bought a 2010 study guide and 2010 clinical coding workout. |
