INEED HELP DECIDING ON A MEDICAL CODING SCHOOL. I AM GETTING MY GED AND I WANT TO DO CODING. I HAVE LOOKED INTO CAREER STEP AND A FEW OTHER SCHOOLS. MY PROBLEM IS I ONLY CAN DO THIS ONLINE,AND I ONLY WANT TO USE A CAHIM OR AAPC SCHOOL AND I DONT KNOW WHICH ONES ARE OR ARE NOT. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ANY OF THE SCHOOLS OUT THERE AND WHICH ONE I BEST? I WANT A 2 YEAR DEGREE IF IT PAYS MORE THAN JUST A DIPLOMA PROGRAM. I HAVE NO COLLEGE CREDITS AND DONT KNOW IF I HAVE TO HAVE THEM. AHIMA ALSO OFFERS A PROGRAM BUT IT DOESNT SEEM TO BE AS ADVANCED AS THE ONE FROM CAREER STEP. PLEASE SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT TO DO.

Why don't you tried Santa Barbara City College. They have HIT courses, fully online. No need to attend campus. They offer both certificate and A.S. This is CAHIM approved course.
