A medical manager must know the fine line between empathy and the business needs of the practice. While empathy is a must when dealing with patient care and concerns, there has to be a business attitude incorporated as well. The postiive reflection of a well organized business manager will also, instill a sense of security to the patients. The manager also needs to be flexible. The constant changes in the medical office, dictates a strong team leader and the desire to achieve all goals. so my answer is :)

The manager must possess the following traits:

Empathy
Team Leadership Skills
Flexibilty
