What is the best training for becoming a medical office specialist? What types of ongoing training or certifications are necessary to be an effective medical office specialist?

What do non-traditional career paths look like?

How does someone find a job when you have no experience but no one will hire someone with no experience?

Im currently in SWS school in Mcallen TX, and also training to be an MOS you will be trained in all fields on the Pc such as Word,Powerpoint,Access,Outlook,Medsoft, keyboarding, office procedures,Advanced Computers, job presentation,Medical Terminology. At the end you do your internship since my course is only 8 months long each class or block is 3 weeks long. I have 2 more blocks to go and then my intern. Here in the valley i think the salary is between $8 to 10.00 an hour to start.

Hello,

I have been stuck in a runt right now. I have a B.S in Health Sciences and I have a minor in Psychology. I want to get a job in the health care field but no one will hire me because I don't have "office experience in the medical setting". I have been looking for a job for over 2 years. So lately, I have been thinking about getting certified to to become a Medical Office Specialist, is that a good idea?
